I first joined Baileys before joining Planet Fitness when it was over in the Publix plaza. One of my major complaints then, were the lack of stair masters. After moving to the new location, Planet Fitness did a 180! It is ginormous, has tons of new equipment, very spacious, clean and the staff is friendly. I strongly recommend becoming a member! You won't regret it!

I am not a person who enjoys going to exercise, that being said Planet Fitness Souside Commons is a very nice gym. Great selection of equipment and large enough to not be crowded. Locker room/ restroom is spacious and clean. Plenty of lockers for individual use. Personal are always friendly and helpful

I just recently started going to the gym again after a very long time of not going and I feel very comfortable here and I enjoy the equipment and I really like the people that work at this location. They always have smiling faces and told me happy birthday on my bday and I got a free water bottle! So sweet :)

This is one of the nicest Planets in the country. Brand new facility,new machines(as well as new types,like Hammer Strength). Eddie,the trainer is maybe the best trainer in all of Florida,owing to the fact he is an athlete himself.
The staff couldn't be more helpful and attentive. The place is spotless all the time.
If you live(or are just visiting)in E.Jacksonville ,you can't go wrong with this Planet Fitness.
(I neither work for nor own any Planet Fitness. I just like it a lot)

One of the best Planet fitnes location, new equipment, friendly staff and very clean. I love the Black card VIP area. New massage chair was awesome.

Facility is nice but the staff act as if you're not supposed to ask to use the hydromassage or the massage chairs

I'd only recommend this gym for cardio but it's still alright. All the staff members are laid back and friendly. I've never had a problem here.

Clean facility. No roiders walking around to intimidate ppl. Comprehensive selection of free weights and cable machines. I go almost every night.

It's a starter gym, at best. I live the bodybuilding lifestyle and this place serves its purpose. I use this gym for my cardio days mostly, if I want a real workout with the weights I go across the street to powerhouse. I just feel people who use this gym don't have a clue about fitness and never will because that's not what the companies intention are. It's a business model which generates lots of cash, bottom line. About the judgment free zone, very misleading. If you sweat, you look out of place. Even if your doing cardio, most people here don't work up a sweat. I think that's strange, but seems normal at planet fitness.

After work stopped to see this gym and Bailey's Gym. Was given a tour by a young guy name Chaze. Base on the tour & guide, came back to sign with wife. At first didn't realized we were dealing with the manager until he told us. Both wife and I were surprised at the difference. He was arrogant & condescending. Had an attitude. Went over to Bailey's and joined. Told Chip at baileys what had happened and he said " happens all the time. They really like that manager being there because they get all the customers from there." Was willing to put up with the lack of some standard gym equipment as Chaze went out of his way to show us everything, answer all questions and likable. Didn't see him and asked guy in the bathroom who had staff shirt on where he was, said doesn't work there anymore. Don't blame him now that I met the manager. Don't waste your money.

I havent met any people yet, but they have the best showers ive ever used. Good enough to leave home and shower at the gym.
