Pretty nice, a good amount of aerobics equipment and affordable. Would love if they added a rowing machine though. Staff have always been nice.
I have been working out here for a little over a year and have been very pleased. $10 a month (plus a minimal yearly fee) is an amazing deal for what they offer. I am always amazed on how clean they keep the place. Surprising for what you pay. However, lately the men's locker room has been quite dirty. I even said something to the staff about it the other day. It was the worst I had seen it in all my time coming here. There was all female staff on at that time. Maybe they didn't have a male to attend to it that day but today I noticed the locker room in similar condition. Not as bad as it was last time but still could use some attention. There is a male staff member here today.
I just moved to this side of town and wanted to see if I could pay for a week or do a quick trial test to see if I liked it. I just wanted to try it and I was completely willing to pay something... However, this location wants $20 JUST FOR ONE SESSION. That's more than their monthly membership fee. Seems excessive for a 1 hour workout.

For fifty years I've belonged to gyms across the world. It's all about value. Planet Fitness is clean, great equipment, terrific location. The staff is conscientious, courteous, and friendly.The manager Megan is obviously a leader. No nonsense to give you a great experience. Maybe time for her to run America.

Decent gym for the $10 monthly fee. Equipment is kept clean, personal training is available both for introducing you to the equipment as well as helping you devise a workout program that is tailored to your fitness goals.
Ladies locker room is clean and smells pleasant, I can't vouch for the men's locker room.

It is great that I can carry my membership with me to out of town PF locations.
I wish this location operated 24/7. Their weekend hours is too short & they close too early.

Great gym to workout at but they need to extend the time on Friday Saturdays and sundays by three hours more.
Very clean, good fitness training groups for a small gym, showers are clean, water is hot, plenty of lockers. Lots of cardio machines. Just needs more free weights.
Very clean, friendly staff, plenty of cardio machines, could use more free weights especially during peak times, bathrooms are clean, bring your own lock.

Good variety in the machiens available but due to the limited hours it's only friendly to those who work 9 - 5 schedules. Bring the only planet fitness in the area makes it challenging to work those hours into a already busy schedule.
The price for membership is low. A gym for the very casual weightlifter.
The only issue is that gets very crowded at times for the little space the gym has.
Great place to workout. Do yourself a favor... Go to the website, request a day pass, see for yourself. Ask an employee give you a tour, teach you how to use the machines etc. It's great.
If I could give this place NO stars I would. They are super unaccommodating, I tried to cancel my membership within the first WEEK of signing up because they are the ONE location I have been to across all of Florida that has NO 24 hour days whatsoever. It varies from franchise to franchise and the manager here in Gainesville has no sympathy whatsoever. I have been signed up here with planet fitness for LESS than a month and I have already accumulated $107.14 worth of charges. MIND YOU, to cancel, you have to come in to the gym or send a letter and check through certified mail for approximately $62. THIS GYM is not at all interested about your health or well-being, but are just money hungry. The location is sub-par, the gym is outdated, small, NO ONE cleans the machines, they ring the lunk alarm constantly. You could get a better workout at home purchasing $100 worth of equipment. I have been a member of Planet Fitness for years, and thanks to the Gainesville location I will never be coming back.

We like this place. My wife and I got the black card and we go about a dozen times a month. Great value.
I've been to a few planet fitnesses and I will say this is the best one by far I feel comfortable I able to go work with my son and not feel uncomfortable.
This place gets a lot of bad reviews for some reason, but really it's a good gym. I've never felt intimidated or singled out by the staff, and the crowd that goes regularly all mind their business. I've never gone for the pizza night thing and don't intend to, and that's what I would recommend for you if it offends you. The only thing I can complain about is the hours. Closing at 7pm on the weekends can be a little inconvenient, but for $10-20 bucks a month it's easy to deal with. I'd rather do that than pay the $60+ for GHFC's 24 hour gym. I would also add a digital scale in the locker rooms, the weight and balance scale they have measures a little funky. All around nothing super negative though. It's clean, has a good environment, and the price is low.
Good variety of equipment, not too crowded at certain times, clean, and friendly staff. Low monthly fee for all you get, well worth the money. Members are friendly and encouraging as well.
Planet Fitness is clean and for the price it's good. The location is convenient if you live on the North West side of town. I don't find the staff to be overly friendly or helpful but for $10 you really can't complain.
Horrible gym. DO NOT GO HERE. Tanning beds were dirty, the massage chairs were oily and grose. The staff is lazy and unhelpful, I walked in to two staff members on their phones sitting on the counter. The managers if you can call them that because i could barely tell the difference from the refular staff apeared undisciplined and were rude. I will never go here again mean horrible people. I hope the owmers close it down so somthing better can take its place!!!!
Location is great, gym is always clean, and even during busy hours it's never too crowded. This is a great gym for anyone who's a beginner, uncomfortable working out around others, or super broke! They have "trainers" on staff to help you; they're helpful for basic info and for getting started, but they're really just college kids usually.
I'm only giving this place 3 stars because it's a gym designed for a selective group of people (those who feel intimidated by other people's fitness levels). If you're looking to do some moderate to intense training, this is not the place for you. Theres no squat rack, no deadlifting allowed, you can't do exercises like cleans or jerks, and if you let out one grunt they have a huge buzzer that they sound.
If you want to watch TV on the elliptical, or if you're looking for a cheap place to workout, this is it. Be ready to taylor your workout plans to their limited offerings!
Very satisfied with Planet Fitness overall and this is one of the better locations in the franchise. The service is friendly and excellent. They stay on top of cleanliness both on the gym floor and locker rooms without getting in the way. Also they have the recliner style hydro massage bed that I prefer rather than the flat kind.
Kyle one of the mangers here is awesome! Very polite and friendly every time I walk in and out the door! He helped me out with a situation I was having for a while now with my ex girlfriend on my account and he took care of it and relieved a lot of stress off my shoulders. He is always willing to go above and beyond to help you! Definitely a good guy. Place is clean staff is amazing! Love my gym!!
Clean. Friendly staff. Amazing price. Much happier here than at Gainesville Health and Fitness. Plus, they securely handle credit cards.
