Yesterday was my first time going to Planet Fitness with my friend, and she convinced me to go and workout with her. First, I was not sure about Planet Fitness and its motto: "Judgement Free Zone," because I was too shy. Second, I never felt comfortable to do exercise in public -- gym or fitness center. Awkwardly, I had no idea what to do when I got there, but I forced myself to get on the treadmill. Within few minutes, I wasn't shy anymore because nobody gave me a dirty look AND nobody criticized me. Of course, they were too busy with their workouts. After an hour, I felt a little more confident in myself, which is good, but it will take a lot of time to build my confidence by going and exercising at this place.
Today, I decided to come back to this place again with my friend, and I felt so much better than yesterday. We stayed there for around 30 minutes. Still, nobody gave me a dirty look or criticized me. I should mention that they completely clean and their staff members were so friendly. I think one staff knew sign language, and it was awesome to see someone who knows sign language working at Planet Fitness! However, I am too shy to talk and ask them questions, though. I am not sure if they are trained to provide a paper and pen to communicate with me if they do not know sign language. I'm not sure if they are willing to answer my questions through paper and pen.
Anyways, I'm thinking about going back again tomorrow!

I enjoy most of the locations but this location is hands down the best one!!! The atmosphere is great, plenty of good energy and an AWESOME WINDOW TO ACTUALLY LOOK OUT OF WHILE WORKING OUT, at least I think it's a plus. I like to feel my mind drifting off while getting in a good work out. One of the guys actually walks around handing out hi fives and words of encouragement. Thanks for being a great place to workout.

First time going to a Planet Fitness in general and it was pretty much empty. It was overall quiet and the staff was helpful and respectful. The customers there didn't seem too much about cleaning the equipment after they were done using it so its always best to try to clean it just in case. I would love to go again, this gym so far, makes me feel comfortable in my own skin.

Kinda small, always crowded. Gotta wait for machines. Lockers don't work well. 2 hr parking is nice

Planet Fitness is Jackson has been the best gym I have ever been a member of. They are friendly, very clean, and always courteous. The classes they offer helped me get into weight lifting beyond my typical aerobic activity on machines. They are willing to help with technique questions and offer me great motivation to continue progressing in the process of getting in the best shape of my life.

The problem I have with Planet Fitness in DC the men's bathroom need disinfecting badly. The rug needs to be shampooed and the Stalls needs to be clean and disinfected better for you to use. I believe that the managers that are running this operation needs to check periodically in the men's bathroom. Also one other thing lockers are terrible doors hanging off hinges locks are defective at times and cannot be used. Always have to get manager to open locks for us to get out the belongings terrible!!!

Great 24 hour gym. Been going here since Day 1 and not alot of employee turnover in those 2+ years. Also cleanest gym ever. There are 2 gentlemen that clean during the night shift and I have not seen two men more dedicated in their job. I mean they lift every machine, scrub in every corner every night they work.

Avoid. Should have paid more attention to how they charge for their service.
Paid $20 for a single visit. Sunk cost for me. I called HQ and the regional office and provided constructive feedback of my situation and got no refund after about 45minutes on the phone with HQ and the office. Not worth the ROI. Small Facility, Free weights were crowded, no bar for squats and bench unless you like the smith machine.

The customer service is reasonable and the facility is clean. The price is the best selling point. The issue is that the gym is too small for the area. The majority of the facility is filled with cardio based equipment. The free weight section of the gym is fairly small with lots of people packed into a small space and you'll almost always find yourself waiting to use equipment.

Really like this gym. It gets a bad reputation die to the location. Very clean and people who go here are mindful to maintain that. Parking is free for first two hours in next door garage. Stairwell out of garage is a bit shady and could use some better lighting especially at night. Area is generally getting better every month with new surrounding retail die to the ivy city development project.

I like coming to this gym because its clean and its lively with a good amount of people but some days its nice and quite and plenty of free equipment. The weights are great too I wish it was a little higher so I can challenge myself but overall its a good place. The employees are nice as well.

Cheap, clean, and does the job. Amiable and helpful staff. Sometimes the wait for a rack can be a pain.

This is a very nice facility is set up different than the one that I'm accustomed to him in Milwaukee Wisconsin but very nice nice staff safe and secure

It is really nice. I don't know what to expect when I walked in. The lights were beaming and beautiful from the street. When I arrived the staff was friendly and pushed me to keep going when I needed it by cheering me on. The ceilings are lower than I'm used to but overall the equipment was clean, and there was a variety. I felt really comfortable I will be back again.
