I recently moved back to DC. While living in LA, Kundalini became a very stabilizing force in my life. The owner, Julie Eisenberg (Jiwan Shakti Kaur,)
is a delightful force of nature. I am grateful to have found a Kundalini Studio, in DC, that preserves the teachings of Yogi Bhajan! Sat Nam!

A place where you're noticed, cared and appreciated. Lighthouse likes to build community, to help each other out, and the quality of yoga is excellent, too many different teachers with their unique styles of sharing their passion: Yoga. This is a place where you can come to be yourself, be treated with love and always feeling encouraged to grow and become a better version of yourself!
I have been coming to the studio for 4 years. I love that the studio offers so many options to take Kundalini yoga, especially in D.C. proper. Julie, the studio owner, is the epitome of quality, community, diversity, inclusion, and social justice. I see this also amongst those who come as well. I love the variety of instructors and workshops/retreats that I have had over the years. There is always something new in the mix, whether theme/series/knowledge that I glean from the instructors as well as from my fellow yogis. And I do like the option to take Pilates and other yoga classes as a member. :-)
I have made some of my deepest and closest bonds being apart of this community. And I'm so grateful!
Lighthouse Yoga Center is a gem. Beautiful space with welcoming staff and teachers. It's so encouraging to find a yoga studio that is invested in supporting the community, knowing your name and your story, and welcoming you just as you are. Everyone here is interested in helping you get what you need from yoga. Check it out. You won't be disappointed.
Great community and quality yoga. The owner and all teachers and staff at Lighthouse Yoga are committed to teaching a serious yoga practice that everyone can benefit from on and off the mat. The new location on Kennedy Street is a gem that gives this great community a place it can call home. I've been attending classes since June 2018, and really love the variety of classes from the Kundalini classes (this is the only studio in the DC metro area that focuses on a strong Kundalini program) to the variety of Hatha and Vinyasa classes. I quickly became a regular here, and I've seen that everyone who attends classes is welcoming to those who are new members, new to yoga, or people just visiting DC.
Great Kundalini Yoga studio. Very authentic, with great teachers , feels very neighborhoody and reasonable. I just started and although a bit far for me, I look forward to coming . Just like other reviews stated , easy to register on line, friendly and true sense of sharing the art of yoga with community. Highly recommend!

A caring, supportive and noncompetitive place to practice yoga with experienced instructors. They have weekday mid morning and mid afternoon class offerings, too, which is great for those of us not working a traditional 9-5 schedule.

Went to a yoga class last Friday... Great way to start the weekend off! Yoga and I are no strangers but Lighthouse yoga with Jared was the first time that the class started with true dedicated breathing exercises. Very helpful for my practice to open with such a focus on breathing technique!
Highly recommend you try this place as soon as possible. The staff were also extremely helpful in helping me achieve the inversions that I currently find difficult.

Great teachers, great attitude, no frills great classes. A great addition to the neighborhood. Whether you need your sunrise centering with Mike or Julie, or the end of day calming with Elizabeth, or need to find that spiritual you through (very physical!) Kundalini, it is all there, for all levels. Give it a try!
