Nightmare of a class. For reference, I'm 26 years old, 5'8", and 148 pounds. This review is for the MetCon class with Brittney. This was my first HIIT class in 5 months, but I am no stranger to them. I was having a tremendously hard time keeping up with the regulars, and the instructor made no attempt to modify my workout to be commensurate to my current skill level. I have been to upwards of 30 such HIIT classes in my life, and I have never seen an instructor not capable of making online adjustments to the class member's workout to suit their needs. This instructor was either incapable, or unwilling, to do so. The former means she shouldn't be employed, and the latter means she's negligent and elitist. It was very clear to her that I was struggling. At several points in the workout I felt dizzy and lightheaded, and I had to leave 30 minutes in because I felt I was on the verge of passing out. The instructor, Brittney, didn't utter a word when I apologized and said I couldn't do more. Instead, she laughed and let me leave without so much as an acknowledgement.
Have told all my workout friends to not step foot in this place, as it was a humiliating waste of money. There are an abundance of such gyms in D.C., go to one where your body and person are respected.
