I am in Washington for an extended business trip and have being going to SoulCycle West End location almost every day. What a fantastic experience I am having. I am full of energy and feel great every day even during stressful business meetings. I have discovered a new way to stay in shape while visiting D.C. Ditch your hotel gym and head to one of the SoulCycle locations. You will not regret it.

Great workout, great instructors, clean facility. Classes are very motivational. You leave the studio feeling like you can accomplish anything.

Only reason I gave it two stars is because I actually worked up a sweat. I'm a experienced indoor cycling rider with well over 400 rides. Garretts class was my worst cycling experience ever. He never explained anything and if he did say anything his music was way too loud for you to even understand. The worst part about his class was that in the middle of the session he called me out "to put emphasis on my right foot." I was so embarrassed I just continued to ride because I was extremely Infuriated. I own a personal training business and one thing I learned is to not make a client feel uncomfortable. I cant imagine how someone would have felt that has never rode before.

I checked out SoulCycle with a friend recently. We attended a 5:30 class that had some open seats. Since it was our first spin, it was free (including shoes). This spin class requires clip in shoes, but if you don't have your own, you can rent them for a fee. Water is also available for a fee. Anyway, you pick your bike before you enter the room, which is nice. The room is dimly lit with a stage and a large mirror behind the instructor; however, once the class gets going, don't expect to see yourself because it gets SO hot that the glass fogs. I took my class with Megan and she was WONDERFUL. She had such great energy. Staff is very helpful if it's your first time. They are quick to set up your bike and a towel is waiting for you as soon as you sit down. Also, if you don't know how to clip in/out, staff is ready and available to help. I LOVED my class at SoulCycle, but for $30 a class, I can only give it 4 stars.
