I wish I could give this place 0 stars. I have attended many fitness classes throughout DC and this was my least favorite by far. I don't know about the company culture, but my specific instructor was extremely sexist.
The first portion of the class doing partner training on the floor was fine, although he was spending significantly more time assessing the men's form. The second portion of the class was horrific. All of the men were ushered over to the boxing ring where the instructor had them practicing skills and techniques, while every single woman was left on the floor and told to do "200 squats in a group". So while all of us females are off to the side with our arms one another (yeah - I'm serious) doing synchronized squats, the men have the instructors undivided attention and actually get to learn to box.
At the end of class, the instructor pulled me aside and told me I should "attend a beginner class first". I was mortified. First off, the class I had signed up for was advertised as all levels which seemed to come as a shock to him (instructors should know the class they're teaching). Also, to single me out was appalling in my opinion. I am a former two sport collegiate athlete and am well-equipped to handle most classes.
I truly found the entire experience unpleasant and abysmal. I would not recommend this sexist dump to anyone unless you are an egotistical, chauvinistic halfwit.
