This is in many ways a super climbing gym, with great facilities and instructors. Unfortunately, however, the ventilation in this space is terrible and the amount of chalk suspended in the air was, for me at least, intolerable. After the first time I climbed, I had a searing sore throat in the evening, which I did not initially connect to the gym. The second time I came, the same thing happened again, with the irritation developing almost immediately, and I coughed for days afterwards. I did not go back. I must be more sensitive to the chalk suspended in the air than the average person. But the amount of chalk in the air was so thick on my second visit, you could almost taste it. For any person this cannot be healthy, whether you are sensitive to it or not.
I really think this gym should pay more attention to ventilation, for the health of the climbers. I also think the gym should educate climbers on the use of chalk. I see plenty of people dipping constantly into their bag of chalk, creating a big cloud each time they reach in. Perhaps the gym could suggest alternatives. It's a shame as I would have loved to continue with the indoor climbing.
