Balance Gym is truly one of the best in the city! Glover Park has super clean facilities, updated equipment, and tons of classes when I don't want to workout on my own. Trying to get my friends to join!
Great wide-array of equipment, clean, super friendly staff, clean and up-to-date locker rooms, tower service, AND great business hours. Balance Gym Glover Park is a hidden gem in the neighborhood, providing more than you'd expect from any other gym. Balance Gym offers not only a great space to work out, but great cardio equipment as well as great class offerings. I would 100% recommend this gym to anyone looking for a change of gym space as this is my favorite place after work (and even before work!) FIVE STARS all around fabulous gym AND staff!
Always clean, excellent hours, and friendly staff. Wide range of personal training and class options. Their CrossFit option has an amazing program and group of coaches!
Group classes here are not very good, for the most part (definitely are exceptions- I also don't do yoga): same boring routines, same boring instructors. They do not change things up, and the popular instructors only teach 1 class a week, so that one class is packed. The group fitness used to be managed so much better-- constantly requested feedback and ideas.

The equipment is fine and the facility is clean but the majority of the staff are quite rude and unwelcoming. I went it and handed my card to a woman who didn't say hi back or you're welcome, and didn't even look at me. She has done this several times. Besides the friendliness of the staff, I enjoy working out there.

Do not do business with this company! They just sent me to a debt collections agency for a billing error THEY MADE!! I joined about a year ago and signed a contract for 6 months of crossfit because I was moving at the end of the 6 months. I paid the entire amount in full up front at the start of the contract. At the end of my 6 month membership I moved and did not expect to hear from Balance again. About 5 months later I get a email from them stating that they ran some report and found that they somehow credited my account by $214 dollars 5 months ago but were only telling me now. They have yet to provide proper documentation for this and insist I check my banking records to find their error in which they claim to have credited my account by mistake. Instead of taking the time to resolve the error they made, they sent me to collections. I instantly paid the credit collection agency as one would as to not risk having my credit score negatively effected. I'm very sad to have to write this review because I enjoyed their gym but their billing departments practices are fraudulent and highly unethical. I would highly advise anyone not to join Balance Gym.
Amazing facility! Very clean! Staff is very accommodating. I was only visiting for the holidays and they have a one week and a two week option! Equipment is suitable for heavy lifters and those who desire a simpler workout. They offer tons of classes at great times. I think I found my gym away from home!

This may be one of the best kept secretes in dc. Space is smaller but not crowded. If you want a spa like atmosphere for your workout without all the usually gym rats this place is ideal My trainer moved here a few months back and I couldn"t be happier. I read a few negative reviews before I went and frankly don't get it. I was always treated well and felt it was great value.
