I joined here about 6 weeks ago and it has been excellent! It's perfect mix of intensity and great people. All the staff, and coaches are amazing. Students are friendly and welcoming as well. Everybody encourages everybody there. I tested out 4 other clubs in the DMV and none of the others i tested even come close.
This place is definitely a long term commitment for me!

The people here are outstanding they are very easy to talk to they answer every question I have asked they make learning new martial arts easy and fun to learn not scary. They feel almost like a family would recommend to most if not everyone I know
Pentagon MMA is a great place to train. Very friendly and professional staff, and the classes I took were physically and mentally challenging but very rewarding.
Great place for your kids to learn not only mixed martial arts but discipline. Instructors stress the need to be a good citizen and the importance of being respectful.
Highly recommended.
If you have never fought, or done any sort of physical activity before - fear not! This is a GREAT gym with AMAZING instructors. I had never thrown a punch before I came for my free trial Muay Thai class, and I left my first day hooked! They have multiple boxing style classes for all levels. Not only are the facilities in great condition, but the members of the gym are friendly and helpful. People of any level and any fight experience come and find a home here.
I joined Pentagon MMA almost a year ago and I have nothing but good things to say about this place! I have been training in Muay Thai for close to two and a half years and joined Pentagon because I heard they had a great Muay Thai program, instructors, and facilities. I have moved around allot and have been to a few different gyms but this one already ranks on the top of my list.
Why? Well, for one, the owner Vivek has fostered a real community that supports one another, gets along, and shows respect. All the students are there to learn and help each other out, regardless of their skills and experience levels.
The staff are just incredible, especially Julius, Grace, and Megan. They are always asking how your experience is going, checking in with you, and asking for any advice on how to make things better. And, they also train as well! Kru Chon, the lead Muay Thai instructor, will whip you into shape real quick and make sure your technique is spot on. He has pushed me to achieve much more than i thought i was capable of, and, as a result, at the age of 33 i have found myself to be in the best shape of my life.
Whether you are fighting or not, they train you as if you are, a rare quality in these gyms.
Final point: the schedule of classes is pretty great. They offer morning classes Wed and Fri for folks like myself who may have not been able to make it some evenings during the week. But they also have classes that start later in the evening for those of us who work later than others. There is a clinch class which is one of my favorites (more of these please?! :)) And they have a few sparring classes where you can put everything you learned together in a safe environment. And if you want to fight? Well they have a great and welcoming fight team as well!
I highly recommend this gym. Anyone, regardless of age or gender or fitness level or experience should try a class out. Keep it up Pentagon MMA!

Awesome gym. Instructor Kru Chon is an amazing teacher and a great guy as well. I was a member for approximately 8 months until I, unfortunately, had to move out of state. Highly recommend this gym.

It really is a fantastic place to learn, fight and be pushed to constantly do better each day. It's great for singles to families. They have great classes and top notch instructors. Highly highly recommend.

Been coming here for a little over a year training jiu jitsu with Master sugi and have not had any complaints. Instruction is amazing with a black belt instructor who just never loses in competition and that winning juju rubs off on his students. Variety of different contract options and class times for varying schedules and price points. They're pretty lenient with the contract terms if you get injured and need to take time off or want to change your membership type. Students are not crazy and always try to help and not injure the new people which is always a plus. Definitely one of the best mma gyms in the area and it shows with the competition records.
This place is awesome! I went in today for a trial and tried the women's kickboxing as well as the all levels muy thai and both classes were phenomenal. Great environment, very welcoming and the coaches were talented and passionate. I'll definitely be back!

I absolutely recommend giving this place a try. Instructors and staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I was able to take 2 trial classes for free - women's kickboxing and muay Thai. They were both challenging and fun. The facility is kept clean at all times. They also have free parking in the back lot which is always a plus.

My son is in Pentagon MMA's summer camp, and I'm very, very impressed. The program is organized, well-run and fun for my son, while emphasizing character development, respect, responsibility, team work and more. The camp coaches have been very communicative with parents. I showed up to pick up my son a few minutes early the first day, and he was upset with me because he wanted to stay and play with his new friends! I'll be signing him up again next summer for sure.
I couldn't ask for a better fight home. This gym makes you feel like you are amongst friends and family. The staff are awesome, the coaches are awesome, and the atmosphere in the gym will give you that charge to put in that extra work!!
Love this place! Our son flourished here. Compassionate trainers who believe in more than teaching kids martial arts.
I absolutely Love Pentagon MMA. Love.
I train in a really rare style of martial arts and the teachers at Pentagon have been Amazing. I've learned so much with them already, and I feel stronger physically and spiritually than ever before.
The space they have created here is unique. It's a culture of respect, hard work, and fun all at the same time.
If you are thinking about trying a class, I highly recommend that you carve out the time for it.
The name Pentagon MMA is misleading because they don't appear to offer legitimate MMA training in the few months I've been there (2017). They provide Muay Thai training, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training, fitness classes and child care services. Their use of the word "MMA" may just be a marketing ploy to lure customers intrigued by the MMA subculture phenomenon which began after the first UFC tournament in 1993. Comparing Pentagon MMA to my last legitimate Jiu-Jitsu and MMA gym for over three years is like comparing apples and oranges. I strongly suggest you look elsewhere for MMA training.
