Stamford Yoga is absolutely wonderful! A beautiful community of individuals who are so friendly, caring and encouraging. When you need to brighten your day, I highly recommend attending a StamYo Flow class! The instructors are so welcoming and teach a fabulous class.
So happy I came across this studio in Stamford! I've been attending classes in the evenings after work and have enjoyed each and every one. The entire staff is very welcoming and the instructors are super friendly and helpful. I always leave class feeling rejuvenated and excited to go back again.
As a newer resident to Stamford I have been searching for a yoga studio that I would feel comfortable attending at my very basic level but could also grow into. Stamford Yoga Center is that place. The classes are a great mix of abilities and ages and the poses are structured to guide you into them so each person can go as far as they can while those more advanced can go further. There never seems to be a pose I simply cannot do while the rest of the class goes on without me. On the flip side, the more experienced yogi's are not waiting around for the rest of us.
I came to StamYo one year ago after reading a positive review. I cannot say enough good things about it. A relative newbie to yoga, I love the different styles of each teacher and gain something useful from each of them. I look forward to each class and always leave feeling stronger, relaxed and more at peace. Isn't this what yoga is all about? From the owner to the teachers to the front office staff, each person is kinder than the next and supportive of my goal to grow my practice. If you haven't yet, come join the studio -- I promise you won't regret it!
Stamford Yoga is an absolute gem of a place. I am so glad I discovered not just these classes but this wonderful community of people. I was new in the country when I signed up and I love walking around town now and greeting Bernie and the others and feeling like I belong. Love the classes, love the beautiful energy of the studio and love the teachers! You are never pushed and always encouraged to be yourself and only do what your body can manage. The pop up classes and events are so really fun and enjoyable. Highly recommended!

I love Stamford Yoga, it is the best yoga studio I have been to. Everyone (teachers and students alike) is so friendly. It is like taking a class with all your good friends. With a bad back this is the place that keep me going!!
Stamford Yoga Center is such great yoga studio, where you either can start your day shining bright or end it peacefully. The teachers, (every single one) the front desk staff, the community all of them are wonderful.

I think my favorite part is that each class and teacher has their own style and approach and every day is different. Try the trial and go to different classes to find the ones that work best for your style. I definitely recommend checking it out.

Love coming to this studio! The instructors always make me feel so comfortable and encourage me to strengthen my practice each class at my own pace. Going to a class is the favorite part of my day!
Been looking for the perfect studio? Look no further. Stamyo could not be a more welcoming studio to practice yoga. Their number one goal is to ensure that every student is practicing in the most appropriate way for his/her body. Should there be any other way? All the teachers are experts in their craft, so you don't have to rearrange your day to get to a particular class. It's heavenly!

I recently moved to Stamford and decided to try out a class at Stamford Yoga Center. I immediately found my new yoga studio. The instructors are super knowledgeable and lead great classes. The entire staff and environment is open and friendly. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a great yoga class or studio.
I live in Stamford, so I was very happy when I learned that the new studio is opening in the downtown of Stamford. I was amazed with how welcoming the instructors are, Each of them make you feel to be a part of Family. Your Yoga Family! So thankful for Stamford Yoga to open. I am a proud member of it!

Stamford Yoga is a super low key studio, I might even say minimalistic. The focus is on the yoga -- good teachers, relaxed environment. This is definitely not the type of studio where people go to parade around in designer yoga clothes to get ready for their bikini bodies! I've been very pleased with my classes. I just wish there were more classes, like a Sunday evening or weekday early morning.
As a professional golfer, my body has a lot of physical demands placed on it. Staying healthy and having functional movement is a key to success. Stamford Yoga Center provides a variety of instructors with different teaching styles. StamYo offers a welcoming environment conducive to making the most of your yoga practice. I hesitate to use too many superlatives in this review lest the readers think I was paid to write this. I was not! Bernadette and Stamford Yoga offer some of the best yoga anywhere. This is a place that is both serious about great yoga and has a lighthearted sense of humor and warmth. The teachers are stellar - do not miss Bernadette's and Elizabeth's classes! I have been practicing yoga for twenty years and I am a yoga teacher, and I choose a longer drive past several other studios to come here. So worth it!! If you're new to yoga Stamford Yoga is a wonderful place to build a foundation for your practice. If you're a seasoned yogi/yogini, there's much to discover here as well. If I could give Stamford Yoga ten stars I would!

A spacious, well lit studio that feels welcoming even before you meet Bernadette, or any of the other instructors. Bernadette, especially, is one of the kindest, warmest people I've ever met. If this sounds new age then so be it: she gives off a truly incredible energy that you just want to be around. I've been to a bunch of yoga studios and I've decided that I don't want to go anywhere where I have to feel like an intruder if I need to step over someone's mat or squeeze into a row. This is not that studio. Either everyone that practices there is as friendly as the staff, or they are just transformed once they get inside. I can't recommend it enough. Joining has been one of the best decisions I've made.

LOVE THIS PLACE! I haven't practiced yoga in years so was a bit hesitant to just pick a random spot BUT I couldn't resist the Groupon and I am so glad I came here!!! Everyone is so warm and welcoming, the space is great and the classes are for everyone/anyone! When I finished my Groupon I became a member immediately!

This Yoga Center recently opened in the heart of downtown Stamford. My wife and I joined using their $39 one month, unlimited classes trial membership. The center is very clean and comfortable with all necessary mats and accessories provided. The owner Bernadette was very friendly and welcoming explaining all of the activities at the center. Our teachers have been very friendly and observant but not intrusive. Classes are geared for beginners and those who have been practicing for a period of time.I There is plenty of parking one block away in the municipal parking lot but metered parking may also be available depending upon the time of day. Validated parking is available for monthly members. We've been practicing yoga for over thirty years. This is definitely a favorite of ours.
Stamford yoga center is like a breath of fresh air! The environment is so warm, inviting, spacious, airy and bright. The teachers are incredible and no matter what your skill level is you feel right at home when you're on your mat. If you haven't been yet I would strongly recommend giving it a try! The location is amazing and you can't beat it!

Just moving to Stamford, CT from Lafayette, LA- I was having a really rough time adjusting. Suddenly, I peered outside of my apartment's window, and Stamford Yoga Center's lofty space seemed to appear across the street out of thin air! A miracle! A safe haven. Stamford Yoga Center offers lovingkindness to your mind, body, and soul. Certainly not catering to one specific body type or creed, I assure you that no matter who you are or what you need- more often than not, the studio will have something to empower you. These classes make you think, laugh, and smile, rather than just huff and puff. Hope to see you there!!!!!
