Veronica Thomas of V Life Fitness has a friendly, welcoming personality with a thoughtful approach to introducing you to exercises that are healthy and best for you. Looking at a second total knee replacement 5 months off the heals of my first one, I decided to start working with V six weeks prior to surgery to strengthen my leg and thigh muscles in the hope it would facilitate the recovery. Working with a sensitivity to limitations of post and pre-op legs, V introduced me to a way of exercising without putting painful pressure on my joints. We worked on upper body and core strength as well, which was instrumental when using the walker and crutches. To my doctor's amazement, I breezed through the recovery and physical therapy process, and I know working with V played a major role in that. I never really enjoyed exercising because it always left me hurting. With V, I learned the way I was doing them left me hurting, not the act of exercising. And it's true, you really do feel so much better when you do them! I am in my early 60s, and admit I caught on to this a bit late in life, but I am also proof it is never too late. I look forward to working with V for many years to come and enjoying a lifestyle that's healthy for me!!
