Unfortunately, the employees taint this place.
I am a patient person and despite reasonable methods for change I have concluded that people deserve my voice as a member for over 3+ years and with experience in many other gyms throughout the tri-state area.
The employees taint this place from the moment you enter. There is no greeting from the main front-desk unless the member loudly wakes them up from their slumber. Why bother. Why pay a premium membership price for you to train these people on basic life/social skills?
With very few exceptions, the receptionist have their heads buried in their phones, earphones on, half-asleep. This doesn't seem to bother the management who are in plain view of them.
Their sign-in sensors are semi-on half the time and make it a chore to even sign in daily, it is never wiped, dirty, and they don't even have spare key tags available. Is this how business is done?
I brought this up but the very same employee showing obvious annoyance at me waking him up at 7:30 am at his job had the gall to TALK back at a paying member, back and forth, with a terrible southern attitude of some sort. No apologies. That insults every reasonable human being's intelligence.
Hence why compared to LAFITNESS of Milford CT, the lots for the dozen other gyms are full.
After approaching their management on these issues to lend a helping hand,, the problem employees yet still remain, bleeding members out.
It took a month for them to correct the clock's time in the locker rooms, and the areas are generally filthy.
The management is professional and somewhat courteous, but where they FAIL is at training and overseeing their employees.
Unfortunately that is beyond substandard especially when there are so many other gyms.
