LA fitness is by far my favorite gym in the world and the they have great customer service. Talon who works at the front desk is very nice and always makes you feel welcome at the gym.

I,d just like to take a moment to share what a wonderful experience I have had in dealing with the La Fitness colleague Talon. That all of my contact and assistance as well as her plain courteousness has been a positive pleasure.

I always have so much fun there. They have every machine that I need to work out from head to toe. They do group fitness classes. The people are amazing, and my friends are there. And there's this Cute old lady there who is 95,active, in shape, and she always shows me so much love.

The milford location is one of the most well maintained location throughout CT. Sandi is one the best in there.

Don't believe the bad reviews, some people will find anything to complain about. This gym is very well taken care of. For the cost of the membership, and the availability of all of the equipment and the fact that I can go to so many gyms in the state, this is the best overall membership you can get. The biggest complaint I have about the gym has nothing to do with the owners it has to do with the user's littering inside of the locker rooms and the sauna. Occasionally equipment goes down but the owners fix it as soon as they possibly can so I really have no complaints there. Overall I'm extremely satisfied with LA Fitness and I don't understand why people give one star ratings and throw down the overall rating for a location that is so well-maintained like Milford to three stars when it should overall have at least a 4-star rating.

I am having a great experience at LaFitness. It's got good equipment and a lot of people who will give me info on how to use it when I am hesitant.
I signed up with Rachel, a personal trainer to help me set up a program and better habits for meeting my fitness goals. Already noticed improvement in my ability to play outdoors with my grandchildren.

Very nice gym! It has everything I need to work out and extra amenities. Since I walked through the door everyone greeted me and made me feel at home. Patrick got me interested in a membership and made the whole process pretty smooth and comfortable. LA Fitness is everywhere, which is a good thing since I travel often. Definitely recommend this gym to everyone.

Maybe it is not worth me coming back to LA fitness at all. with the one in orange closing down and high price for what you get and them not answering their phones when you call.. Maybe going to Planet fitness or anytime fitness would be my best place for me at this time...
The staff never gets back to you when you have a problem with password to change it or anything..Don't feel safe when people in mall can see you excise

Horrible, don't use the jacuzzi all kinds of things going on in there..
I witnessed an old man shedding his skin and blowing snot out on his hand and dropping it in the water..gross!

Unfortunately, the employees taint this place.

I am a patient person and despite reasonable methods for change I have concluded that people deserve my voice as a member for over 3+ years and with experience in many other gyms throughout the tri-state area.

The employees taint this place from the moment you enter. There is no greeting from the main front-desk unless the member loudly wakes them up from their slumber. Why bother. Why pay a premium membership price for you to train these people on basic life/social skills?

With very few exceptions, the receptionist have their heads buried in their phones, earphones on, half-asleep. This doesn't seem to bother the management who are in plain view of them.

Their sign-in sensors are semi-on half the time and make it a chore to even sign in daily, it is never wiped, dirty, and they don't even have spare key tags available. Is this how business is done?

I brought this up but the very same employee showing obvious annoyance at me waking him up at 7:30 am at his job had the gall to TALK back at a paying member, back and forth, with a terrible southern attitude of some sort. No apologies. That insults every reasonable human being's intelligence.

Hence why compared to LAFITNESS of Milford CT, the lots for the dozen other gyms are full.

After approaching their management on these issues to lend a helping hand,, the problem employees yet still remain, bleeding members out.

It took a month for them to correct the clock's time in the locker rooms, and the areas are generally filthy.

The management is professional and somewhat courteous, but where they FAIL is at training and overseeing their employees.

Unfortunately that is beyond substandard especially when there are so many other gyms.

Super bad experience with Milford LA fitness, the saler Tony Leone told me my initiation fee is $30,and each month fee is $29.99, so I think my first bill is around 90bucks. But he lie to me, my initiation fee is 90 buck, first and last bill is $60. So total charge me 210 bucks. When I call La fitness department, they said Tony is no longer there anymore. Nobody can help me, please do not go to Milford LA fitness anymore~

This place sucks. my family member payed money for the passes last week and there was no problem. All of a sudden this week there's a problem because the child is under 14. No one said anything last time. LA Fitness just loves to pocket your money. When i first signed up it was $250 and all of a sudden they dropped it to $107 because i said it was too much money.Special treatments for special people. If anyone is thinking about going here please don't. Save your money. Go to planet fitness or the YMCA. So far every LA Fitness I have been to I've had problems. Also the water is very dirty. You can't even smell chlorine when you walk in. The hot tub also doesn't function well. The water isn't that warm and there's no bubbles.

Employees need costumer service training. They tend to forget we are paying members and they act like they are there to do us a favor!

Overall, the Milford LA Fitness is well maintained and is a pleasant experience. I do have one complaint and that is why I am giving it three stars. A year and half ago I was returning from the shower to my locker at 15 minutes before closing and the lights in the men's locker room went off. The place is open for another 15 minutes, so what the heck! It was pitch black and my lock is a combo one. Naked except for a not too huge towel, I wandered out to the main desk only to be told I should have returned to my locker a half an hour before closing, that the lights are turned out by a computer and could not be turned on. Furthermore, I was told I would have to leave, barefooted with only a towel into the snow drifts outside. I asked for a flashlight to see my combo lock and I was told they did not have flashlights. Finally, after demanding the clerk phone the police and telling him I would physically fight him (he was about 25 years old and I am in my mid-60's before being pushed out into the snow), he used his cell phone's light to let me see my combo lock so I could open and get dressed (despite the fuss, I still left before closing).

Why am mentioning this now, a year and half later? Because yesterday I heard, in the locker room, someone telling a very similar story that had happened to him just a day or so ago. He too did not like the idea of leaving la fitness without any clothes or id (at least it was summer). My impression this outrageous behavior is not the result of a renegade employee (the guy I dealt was was trying to be nice, but said he was "only following orders"), but the result of management. Programming the lights in the men's locker room to turn off fifteen minutes before closing is an outstanding example of stupidity and meanness. At the very least, it is "bad business practice".
