The experience in the gym was fine but the management is mediocre at best. I canceled my membership but kept getting charged for a buddy pass. I don't comb my accounts for fraudulent charges so it took a few months to notice. I notified the manager who took over a dozen emails and three months to actually take care of the recurring charges. I was only refunded two months rather than the entire amount I was charged.

The new ownership is amazing. They give back to the community and work hard to make this a nice place to workout.
Tried to cancel my membership via the telephone service line because I'm moving . Don't waste your breath. Was told in writing via email that my membership was canceled but it wasn't. Was told that I tried to dispute the charge for membership but I never did.
Customer service on the phone was about the rudest, most dishonest, and unhelpful I've ever encountered. Charges continued past the point of my account being canceled with no attempts to remedy the situation. I called on three separate occasions to the same poor service and more lies.
When I gave up and went to the gym in person they told me that they never heard of canceling over the phone. So someone is lying again. To call this company a scam would be too nice for them. Seemed like they wanted every dollar they could get from me while deceiving me at the same time. I've never seen anything like this. Very disappointed after being a member for 2 years to be treated so poorly

The locker rooms are clean and have a nice feel. I toured Chuze fitness down the street and the locker rooms felt junior highish. I came with my boyfriend to use the cardio machines.

Overall a nice gym with everything you could possibly need. The 1 star is for customer service. I started at the gym by purchasing 12 prepaid fitness coaching sessions but then had to move out of state unexpectedly after only using one. I contacted them asking for a refund and was originally dealing with Mary. She told me no problem and would get back with me. After multiple attempts to contact her over a month period I was finally told she had quit. I then was turned over to Walter who also said no problem and that he would get back with me. After speaking to him for over a month and him not following through I found out he had also quit at some point. I am now speaking to a third person by the name of Brent who has said he would call me multiple times but has failed to do so every time. This process was started in May and it is now the end of July. All that to say is do not prepay for any services, buy and use as needed to prevent from getting ripped off.

Love it, used to be a 24 hours fitness member for 3 years until i switched to trufit. 24 hours kept increasing my monthly payment each year, i was also paying close to $40 and currently pay $20 at trufit. Also 24 hours shut down a lot of gyms in my area and got rid of all the zumba classes. Trufit offers memberships with a price locked, fancy gym with spa, so many cool classes, zumba classes each day, during the day and night
They recently made some changes that lead me to leave, including taking out about 1/3 of the space for boxing/fighting rings. They also introduced new, and very pricey plans for membership if you wanted to use these new facilities. While they grandfathered in folks that didn't want them, it effectively meant that you get 2/3 of the gym for the same price. I will leave the review stars as-is because they were still friendly and made it very easy to cancel, but I did end up leaving.

Also, people steal the clips off of the cable machines and they don't have replacements around - which can be irritating. I usually go around 6:30-7:30 AM and it is never too crowded.
Update - 5/18. Several of the benches are ripped and torn and covered up with duct tape. Since there are large fighting mats/rings in here now, there is not really an ample place to stretch. It's quite cluttered near the free weights and dumbbells. There is not a good place to stand if you're looking to do any sort of exercise that is not on a bench or machine.

Also all of the new classes really offer a lot for all levels and ages. The crew is personable and the environment is just fun! Surrounded by people sharing the same goals as I has been beneficial to my own motivation.

After a horrible experience with previous staff and the old manager Cassie, John was extremely helpful in working out my problems and I couldn't be happier. If you previously had a bad experience with this gym give it another shot because the whole staff is new and extremely helpful.
I have used TruFit gyms for a couple years now and I think for the price, it is definitely worth it! My favorite locations have been the one off of 120th and federal and the one in Park Meadows just because of the layout. I haven't had any problems with billing, canceling or rejoining (went through a lazy phase) and all the staff has been friendly. I was a member at 24 hour for a couple years before and I left because of how insanely busy they were. TruFit has never been as busy, it does get busy, but not so busy where you have to wait for machines.
How to lose a potential member.
Step 1) Don't have anyone there to sign you up.
Step 2) Expect me to pay 15.00 to try it out for the day.

Worst gym I have ever been a member of. Facility is disgustingly dirty and unkept. Equipment isn't taken care of properly. The google reviews speak for themselves. Staff apparently don't know what is going on since me and my wife were told we could cancel by one member of staff and then told by another it would be $200. If I could give this place and Cassie the manager a worse rating I certainly would. Hopefully the new planet fitness and vasa will run them out of business. Please DO NOT join this gym. There are so many better choices nearby. Don't throw your money away.
It is an okay gym, met some great staff and otherwise a pretty nice and quit time working out but... signing up for a membership a year ago I have been harrassed with phone calls and penalty charges since moving to Orlando Fl. in January. Tried everything to end my membership before I moved and they could careless. The manager of TrueFit took it as a laughing matter and did NOT care and told me I had to just had to wait for the year to be up to even be able to cancle my membership. Go to another gym if you don't want to deal with the rudeness of this guy.
Horrible staff attitudes the manager I spoke to was a dick. They are scandalous company. Go somewhere else. This place not worth it..

Only been here 3 days and showers haven't been cleaned once. Same hair and dirt have been there for 3 days. I can't get myself to go back. Asking for refund so we'll see what their customer service is like next.
On top of that their music stinks and they don't have any cold water. So you can't adjust the temperature in the showers.

Never have I been so disappointed at a gym before! The gym is actually pretty good but what makes this gym horrible, is the lack of communication of the employees. Been trying to get a hold of the manager for a week now! On top of that they wanted my Credit card on file whey I paid cash for a whole year! Which makes me think of the sketchy things they do to the people who are under contract. Once I finish the year I paid for I am going back to 24hr fitness.
Great facility with helpful staff. Never crowded kept clean and equipment always works or is repaired fast. Great price.
It's a really great gym as far as cleanliness. The locker rooms are big clean and has large lockers. There is a lot of weights and equipment. The only thing that annoys me is the gym should have someone re rack weights every night instead of them all out of order. Also the equipment seems to move around frequently and sometimes becomes way to close to another piece of equipment. In all just needs for enforcement of their own rules

When I first joined this Gym with Josh as the GM I had converted from the typical used car salesman of 24 hour fitness to what seemed like a club that cared. Josh was terminated and 24 hour fitness manager Walter replaced him as the GM. He quickly replaced all the staff with his 24 hour fitness buddies. In the year that I have been here this place has gone way downhill, the machines have a years worth of dust on them they don't repair the Vinyl they put plastic tape that cuts your skin when you work out. The GM Walter takes no pride in his club at all, he only cares about the sale of new memberships. I left 24 hour fitness for a reason, but apparently True fit is just another 24 hour fitness.
