Came in to work out with my buddy for a day, they ended up pressuring me to get a membership that I had to pay for a year, with unknown extra charges on top of monthly membership. $500+ for a gym membership (for only 1 year mind you, $35/month plus activation and some other charges) I never wanted or felt comfortable using. I can't say I would recommend this place to anyone. Shady staff and it's packed there and uncomfortable to do anything there. No one wipes down equipment and it's definitely a hoarding match to get what you want.
24 hour fitness sets a standard experience across all of their gyms. They try to get a good amount of decent equipment in each gym and set their prices low to attract a lot of people (hey, I'm here, so it works). They don't try to push a lot of other services, like classes or training and they basically let you do your thing.
On the other hand, they don't try to exceed expectations either. They don't get new equipment often, they never change the layout. It's not like this is a bad place, it's just not the best gym either, it's just pretty average.
Alicia Rossi, the personal trainer here was phenomenal to work with! She was easily one of the most personable trainers I've ever worked with. She made me feel comfortable from the very first day I met her, and she is highly knowledgeable in what she does. She challenged me but was also super fun to work with. She pushed me to reach my goals and she will with you too. I recommend Alicia for anyone looking to reach their fitness goals because she will get you there!
I'm a member of all 24hr fitness and visited this one Saturday morning at 7 am. Lots of machines and one of the biggest inventories I've seen. Lots of variety. I sampled dozens and found them all in working order. Not very crowded this early and people were moving between stations. Two host at the entrance were helpful in showing me around and were in a good mood. The cleaning supplies were all filled for wiping down stations. Basketball court had a good floor and secured backboards. All together this is a first rate gym. A surprise when compared to many other 24hr fitness gyms. Still no virtual classes after rwo month and counting.
Good gym. Avoid peak times though
Filthy and disgusting. The staff could care less if you lived or died. I joined and it took months of hassling to cancel and they continued to charge me for monthly and YEARLY dues. I had to cancel my CC in order to finally get them to stop charging me. To this day their office STILL spam calls me at least 5 times a week sometimes multiple times a day! Do yourself a favor, KEEP AWAY KEEP AWAY KEEP AWAY. You've been warned.

Worst service ever! Ask for a tour, three people at front desk rock, paper, scissor who is going to give the tour. I get greeted walk ten step forward into the gym. Guy points out this is over there, that is over there, if you need anything just look for it. Have a nice day. One minute completed tour!

Its a gym. $40 a month with no contract. Some hot babes some hot miles some hot dudes some jacked dudes whatever your fancy. They got rid of the strongman stuff which sucks. Oh well, now you just throw down big weights on their bars and try to break em. Theres some water aerobic stuff and Zumba stuff again whatever tickles your fancy. You get what you put in. Just dont be a douche.

Newer 24 - nice interior, well lit with ample equipment. Cleanliness could be improved upon and staff come off as avoidant and more interested in one another
The most knowledgeable trainer I've ever worked with and the results have been amazing.
Had a great overall session with Cole Fritz today! He helped us with nutrition, muscle repair exercises, corrective movements/form, and general lifestyle advice. He was very enthusiastic but also realistic and encouraging. Would highly recommend working with him and this location!

The staff is iffy, as they only sometimes look up to greet you. It's pretty busy with the more hardcore gym goers ( which can be a plus or negative). The real downer is how poorly kept the place is. The machines are never detailed or maintained ( like a coat of paint or replacing for a newer piece of equipment), and the place itself could use a facelift.
Hot water is getting back. Locker rooms should be cleaner. Will update my reviews accordingly.
Had a t erribke experience with manager named Rick. I have been a member here for 5plus years... had a friend who came into town from virginia.. & she received a three day pass to her email.. He refused to let us workout together due to her going to the Lowry location 4.5 hears ago.. We left this facility & went to the 702 location & received a way better experience. Terrible customer service. But a good location for living in the city.
I went there. Once I finished the personal training. They threw me out. I reached my goal. 100 lbs weight loss.
I tried to go back later. They told me I was no longer an asset to the business.
Great city gym - and I mean that this is THE 24 Hour gym that serves downtown Denver. Parking garage is free, gym workout areas are clean. No complimentary towel service. Lots of weight racks, free weights and machines. VERY BUSY on Saturdays. Fit, healthy, youngish crowd. Locker rooms are of course, not very tidy, and smell .. like men's locker rooms usually do. I experienced the short line waiting to use one of the 2 commodes in the men's room. Wet areas are acceptable including the whirlpool and lap pool. Four stars given as weight against other 24-Hour fitness gyms in the area.
Let's face it, busy to a point is good. Who wants a gym with no pulse and no energy? Exactly...no one! Sometimes busy, but never obscenely so...I've gotten in decent workouts for years around the west and it's always easy to find open machines if you're willing o call an audible here and there in your routine. Central to lots and easy to get on and out of. The rest is up to you!!!
Improved showers, steam room, hottub. It use to be a lot worse. I like the improvements. The locker room could still use a lot of work. More room to stretch would also be good. Right now it is where the weights are and this is a mixed area. It is difficult to find room to do sit ups or stretch.
Clean gym, good selection of machines and free weights. Most equipment is always clean and functional in my experience. Fair monthly price, I just wish they'd stop charging an annual fee.
Both of these guys sitting here like this. I pay for a membership why? How is it these guys even get a paycheck? I used to work for this corporation back in college as a second job, I know the fact that this place doesn't pay good employees what they're worth... but why even hire people this worthless? How motivated is anybody to work out when this is what one witnesses. They have one job, to greet patrons. Can't even do that. Lifetime fitness and the Colorado athletic club never has an issue like this that I have ever witnessed.... equipment here is always damaged, cracked weights, broken water fountains.... the only reason I joined was because of the salesman Gio that used to work here. Now he's gone obviously wasn't paid what he was worth cause I offered him a job for twice what he makes here just to start in the training program.
