I was looking to sign-up for a membership three months ago. The advertised monthly fee was marked down, and their whiteboard said that annual fees were waived. I clarified before signing the contract about my final costs. (PS you can't see the contract you are signing because it's on a credit card charging device -- they said they would print everything after we were done). After signing, my printed receipt showed the monthly + annual fee. The manager said they were separate deals, but she was happy to immediately cancel the contract. In fact, she said she would not even send in the contract to corporate, so I would avoid all charges. I was later charged the monthly fee, which the company said they would refund. I waited a month for this to show-up in my account, but it still has not. After calling in again, Crunch said they probably won't refund it because there was a signed contract. Nice gym, but would not do business again because there is poor transparency and communication.
