Just returned home from opening day at Equinox. I wasn't able to get in until about 430 so the gym was completely crazy and packed with people being that it was the first day opening. There was a abundance of staff that was on the floor and they were all very friendly and had answered any questions that I had for them.
It seems much smaller than what I anticipated. It kind of feels like the gym at the Four Seasons Hotel down the street but just a little larger. There was a good selection of cardio equipment but I'm not sure about the free weights selection and machines, it seems like an odd configuration the way it is set up.

Great classes, instructors, facilities, music. Expensive but worth it if you use regularly.

Great gym. Been here for a couple years. Great staff. Very clean. Nice members. Lots of parking. All and all a great lifestyle gym.

Pros: Clean and well maintained with plenty of parking. Cons: Questionable customer service. I watched a front desk staff member roll his eyes after a gym member left following their conversation. Surely the cost of membership can cover staff who can keep it together and be polite.

Asked for a masseuse that specialized in deep tissue massage. Was told my husband would have one of the best there. He said it was one of the worst massages he's ever had and he couldn't wait for it to be over. He said he was literally dripping in oil and the two specific areas he asked for help received about 10 of the 80 minutes. I don't want to say the masseuse's name, but if she is one of the best they have as was told to me, I wouldn't recommend if you're looking for deep tissue.

Great gym for lifting, feels luxurious while still having everything you need to work out. The trainers are helpful and knowledgeable. It's expensive but you feel like the money is going back into the gym to create a great environment.

I joined equinox in February moved here from Chicago not knowing one person and I was harrassed and falsely accused of theft. Also, somehow these people at this club knew things about my private life in Chicago and after I moved here. The Sheriff who called me and accused me of theft without any proof told me they identified me through video surveillance cameras in the women's locker room. But it's illegal to have cameras in the women's locker room and when I asked the general manager about that he claimed it wasn't true but my membership was suspended before they even knew if the claim was true or real. Would never recommend this club to anyone.

Wow. I am so very disappointed. I have been a member at this Equinox location in my hometown for over 2 years, and I've spent thousands. For the first year of my membership, I was very much involved in the club and built relationships with the trainers, class instructors, management, and members. Frequently I would be asked by individuals if I worked at Equinox because I was such an advocate for the club. After many months of contemplating cancelling my membership for many reasons, today I went in around 12:00 pm to do so.

I walked in and said to the young girls at the front desk, "I would like to speak to a membership advisor or manager to cancel my membership." I said this with a smile and no confrontational energy. I was given the opposite. The girls were being extremely rude to me, handing me a card of the new assistant manager named Dash Kramer. They said with an attitude, "He's EXTREMELY busy right now, so...you can email him or wait...and we don't know how long that will be." They went to speak to him and inform him about my request to cancel and he shot me a look. I told the girls I will sit on the couch and wait for him and that I didn't like the way they were speaking to me and handling the situation.

A few moments later he plopped down on the couch next to me, barely introducing himself and seeming annoyed by my interruption of his very busy day. He told me, "You will be charged $112 today for last months due's today." My monthly membership had slowly crept up to $152/mo (they increase it a couple dollars every now and then whether you okay that or not). Also, I told him I was a member for 2 years and he completely ignored my comment, the man had no intention of trying to change my mind of asking me why I was cancelling. He handed me an iPad with my personal information on the screen and a dotted line. I signed, and that was it.

I walked out with an awful feeling, after so many good and fond memories of this place...so disappointed.

Great gym for lifting, feels luxurious while still having everything you need to work out. The trainers are helpful and knowledgeable. It's expensive but you feel like the money is going back into the gym to create a great environment.
