Gotta be the filthiest, nastiest gym.
Towels are a joke. Sanitary conditions non-existent. But if wanna contract something...hey, go for it !

clean place n have jacuzzy big saunas steam n drys,really better than la fitness n 24 hours besides have movies while u work out,,

The gym is very nice but, the sales people there are pushy . You sign in with a coupon or Groupon and they sit with you for 3 hours sale you membership without giving you the chance to try the place first. Asking some weird questions and do not let go. It made me feel very uncomfortable.

I'm never disappointed at Gold's because they deliver results. With there equipment and classes I lost 110 pounds and packed on 25 pounds of muscle. I like the types of equipment they have it gives you that bodybuilder look. Other gym's don't have the equipment they do, the staff here are very helpful and the manager is doing a great job very clean and well run. How can you argue with results.

I have been a member at this gym for 12 and a half years. I have had several issues: people consistently occupy equipment to chat, make calls space out for 20 minutes, listen to their music all while occupying equipment other customers could use. Gold's trainers reserve several machines at once! Which means paying members cannot use them!
This is a small gym with limited numbers of equipment. Some members simply "save" machines while they walk away for ten minutes to chat or use the bathroom! They become irate if I or someone else rightfully assumes the machine is vacant. I have had to leave without completing my work out too many times because I do not have an hour to an hour and a half to wait around to make sure other members have a good leisurely visit.
I have asked staff many times if signs could be posted about time limits on equipment. The response is always "no"
I have on a half dozen occasions witnessed maintenance staff mopping gym floors with filthy black water...
The stationary bikes in the cinema room have been out for over a month...
The only reason I have kept my membership this long is the convenient location. I will be checking out the new LA Fitness in Newbury Park when it opens soon.

Gym is really nice. 25m pool, sauna, locker room, lots of free weights and equipment. No bumper plates and only 2 squat rack, not including the smith machines would he only negative thing. They also have lots of benches and a indoor cinema that has other cardio equipment in it so you can watch a movie while you workout. Weights do float around and the order gets thrown out of wack but other than that a really solid place to workout. Website offers a week free trial so you can check it out for free.

Tried to use a 30 day pass, mailed to me ..to encourage a friend to go regularly. The kids at the front desk said that since I was telling them I had no intention to join before experiencing the facility, & having been told to come sit at a desk.. they wouldn't be able to issue a pass. Worse than car sales..you don't walk into a gym, to expect to sit.

Love it! My workout starts with the treadmill in the cinema, which I love it that I get to watch movies while I workout. Has a lot of machines to workout but I wish they have more to workout the abs and the back extensions one.

I chose Gold's Gym for the beautiful pool. Although it has only six lanes, I have always been able to access one to swim laps--no matter what time of day I arrive. Clean and well organized!

Great gym and trainers! I worked with Matt Mickey for two years and had amazing results! Would definitely recommend him and the gym to other people!

The gym itself is large and okay. Gets really crowded even in the morning. However their practices are extremely shady. I went in here after a callback appointment from a form I filled out online for the "join for $5 and bring a friend free for 5 months" offer. The employee that I had an appointment with never showed up, so another employee had to fill in. I ask her about the $5 offer, she says sure she'll set me up. I go through the whole personal profile thing, tried to sell me a bunch of training sessions and posture correction. I say no. She says I have to attend a mandatory free training session which I never heard back afterwards. In the end she charges me the full price which is about $100 down and $30 monthly. What happened to the join for $5 offer which had hardly any details online? I still sign up but I was never shown the contract, neither did I get a copy of the contract in the end, is that even legal? In the end I had to cancel my membership since I found out my dad's health insurance offers the same membership here for way cheaper. They tell me it can take 10 business days for the refund to process when the California law says 10 days. Ridiculous. I'll have to see if I even get the refund. I'm from Canada and they closed all the Gold's Gym locations in my city for reasons, they're a scam.

24hr and The gold's in Simi valley is alot nicer I would recommend it over this location which has machine that are always broken down and is insanely small

UPDATE on 3/6/2018
I personally went to Golds gym a few weeks ago and cancelled my membership, stating numerous reasons for my unhappiness with this gym. So they decide to harass me daily with calls, call my phone number daily. I call back, make a note and tell management to take me off their list. They decide to continue calling and continue to harass and harass. As I stated to management , I am building a clear case of harassment and will slap them with a lawsuit shortly. All evidence on file, every call recorded. Every phone call is noted, in fact they just called again at 10.15amLet the damages grow, their loss, my gain. ...and please do not act surprised when a third party serves you at the T.O. address, this is your making.

Rude and unprofessional front desk staff more interested in collecting a $20 late payment fee because I was waiting or my new Chase credit card in the mail. Instead of fixing the issue, this was all two ladies wanted to talk about. NO SIR, you have a $20 late fee, we need cash or immediate payment, you need to come down to our office. So when my credit card arrived a day later, I drove down to the gym , filled out a one page document. Please cancel immediately. Not interested in returning until this company learns some common decency towards paying clients.

This place is ridiculous, Matt the "fitness consultant" here refused to honor a groupon i just purchased claiming that my i.d. needs to have a local address. I explained to this brain surgeon that i just moved here and can show him mail i just received (to validate this) with my local address, And he told me this is not exceptable. I purchased a membership! I've never had a business refuse to take my money. Unbelievable! Its a good thing there is an abundance of gyms in the erea, apparently this one doesn't like to make money. Or perhaps they need to train their employees better in the art of common sense.

I was there the other night and the manager banned someone from the gym because they ate cookies they sell at the place. It was the craziest thing I have ever seen. I recommend you don't buy the products up in front! The cleaning crew was complaining they had to clean up. What kind of employee does this place have working for them? It is like a bad reality show. The manage was a darker skinned man not sure of his name. I also saw a guy play with his privates in the pool watching girls on the treadmill and one of the people there just walked by and did nothing.

After having experienced a different local gym in the past, (I won't mention the name) I must say that this gym, Gold's, is absolutely top notch. Always clean & maintained very well. It has every piece of equipment ever wanted/needed. A great long lap pool. A big hot tub/jacuzzi. Spinning room. Daily classes, FREE!Stylish wooden lockers in the locker/shower area. Only one "area of improvement" that would be nice here would be a larger, more spacious locker room. Space in the locker room gets a little cramped depending upon what time you visit, but, it's manageable considering this is such an overall fabulous club/gym. Space is used for the essential part of the gym, so it's understandable, especially considering this piece of real estate is located within an outdoor mall...the Janss Mall.

The CARDIO THEATER is what I call an "over-the-top" awesome feature of this place. It's an indoor theater containing: 9 stationary bikes, 7 treadmills, & 7 elliptical machines all enabling a gym guest to view the "movie of the day" that continuously loops through the day. A new film each day. It's a great way to pass time while maintaining your fitness.

The front desk staff have the friendly, hospitality of a 5 Diamond hotel, in my opinion. Everyone wants to enjoy life, be happy, & feel good, so, a perky, smiling, warm, greeting upon entering (& often upon leaving) is a positive contribution to a person's day!

Let me preface this review by saying I was a gym sales person and general manager for 11 years. The gym is beautiful and clean. The real stars are the staff. Tylor and Jay are great. Tylor reached out to me immediately after I opted into and online promo and Jay continued follow up promptly and via my preferred communication method. He was on time for our appointment and did everything to respect my time, understand my goals and provide me with the membership options I was looking for. He put up with my questions as an industry insider to make sure I was being sold what was advertised. He was transparent with his answers and very respectful. I am excited to hit my first workout!
