Always come here when Im in town.. lots of equipment, not overly crowded, cardio cinema is cool. Outdoor swimming pool is nice. Locker rooms are clean. A great place to work out and feel comfortable doing it.
This gym is a gem! Conveniently located with ample parking. The staff are friendly and accommodating.
Very clean with upgraded equipment and lots of extra amenities. The outdoor pool is awesome and it even has a room with cardio equipment (treadmills, etc) in movie theatre vibe atmosphere. The locker rooms are luxurious and membership is a great value.
Immaculately kept gym, Jacuzzi, changing area, showers. Well Maintained equipment. Always state of the art training instruction. Knowledgeable, approachable staff . Excellent Classes. I am still reserving my judgment on this one until I've used it for a little while. It seems clean & it is kept cool. The cardio equipment is about a year old at the time of this review. They offer towel service, a cinema room to watch a movie while you do your cardio, there is an outdoor heated salt water lap pool with 3 lanes, outdoor heated salt water jacuzzi, outdoor basketball court, gender specific steam rooms & saunas. You will find pretty much your usual machines & free weights assortment. There is a little playground if you need to arrange childcare during your workout. Obviously they try to sell you on training services, nutrition supplements & merchandise like any other gym. Monthly membership starts at $20/month with enrollment fee & goes up to $40/month. The parking lot seems to be very busy all the time...

I have been a LONG time member which at NO time included a yearly maintenance fee of 29.99. My checking account balance was not what it should have been this morning and then I saw the withdrawal. I called the GYM and said I NEVER signed a contract to include this fee, way back when. They said Oh you paid it last year. I said well you owe me a refund for that as well. I was told a manager would call me in an hour. That didn't happen so I drove to the location and was told Mr. John Franko the manager was with a client and the staff said it could be a really long time to see him, like hours. The gym does not want to resolve this issue. I am really upset about this! I want a refund for every year I was charged this $29.99 fee without my knowledge of even when Golds started doing this.

Went while visiting. Nice equipment. Enjoyed getting sun while swimming in the outdoor pool. Thought the boxing ring was cool. The people were nice. Forgot to lock my locker after getting a pool towel so I was especially happy everything was still there after swimming a while.

This fitness facility is more than a gym or boot camp, there is something for every age, level or body type. The support and encouragement is 2nd to none.
Smell terrible at night time. terrible smells like sweat, sewage.. best to go during the day AC is turn on & air is recirculating.
Very crowded, even outside of peak hours, you'll need to park at the bank or grocery nearby. Floors always wet from mopping, none of the plates are round so setting the bar down quickly means it bounces into your shin. Not enough squat racks and no straight pull up bars. Stories of staff making fun of members leaves a bad taste. We were told there would be an outdoor area by the end of 2017, yet construction has not started. If you plan to do any floor pulls, squatting or pullups you are better off at a gym that has all of the basics. For most this may be fine, but these are essentials for me

Came in with a 30 day guest pass to try the gym, honored for only 7 days. Immediately followed up by trying to hard sell a membership. Caught the sales rep in multiple lies. This place is sketchy
It was my first day here at the gym.. I overheard The two blonde girls at the desk making fun of a member's appearance as the member walked out of the gym. One of them has a hickey on the right side of the neck early 20's. I will be filing a report on the incident very soon
This gym is awesome let me tell you, you can usually get any piece of equipment that you need, or they have another version of it if needed. There is a plethora of cardio machines so you can always kill time on one of those while you wait for more things to open up.
Been going for 2 years, has great amenities! hot spa, pool, basketball court, theatre room. 3 studio rooms for classes and more! only one thing.. super crowded, at times. I recommend gym though.
Great, clean, and spacious gym to attend. Tons of machines and weights. Everyone minds their own business and is there to work. I love their steam room.
Horrible management and they are a bunch of scammers. I called a month before my membership ended to cancel it and when I called again a month later to confirm that my membership had in fact been cancelled, they told me that it hadn't been done and that they had no note of me calling in advance so I would get charged for the next month since I didn't give a 30-days' notice. I guess it's my fault these people can't do their job and now I have to pay an extra month for a gym I don't even go to.
You're better off going to 24-hour fitness.
Always plenty of equipment to workout on. I never have to wait. The front staff is always very happy, pleasant and welcoming when I come in. The is a great facility with basketball, pool, studios, spinning and more.
It's usually very clean and well kept. They are good about keeping things organized and working. Some of the barbells and dumbbells could use some replacing though.
Very clean, enjoy cable tv at individual cardio machines, or the daily movie in the cinema room. Outdoor basketball, pool, and jacuzzi. Tanning is available, personal trainers there all day. Machines and floors are always being cleaned so the place never smells like sweat. Steam room and sauna are available as well.
Nightmare! Gold's Gym took $99.00 out of my bank acct. w/o my permission or knowledge. Email from Gold's Gym, of signed contract was signed by George (employee of Gold's Gym), on my signature line. What a scam - no a crime it's illegal. Still waiting for promised refund 3 days, 5 tops. It's been two weeks. Now, they won't even return my calls. George just answered phone, himself. When I confronted him, he said, well theres the weekend. I said, it was a Monday and you said, 3 days, 5 tops, this is day 5. He would not give me a number to call, to verify, he was telling me the truth. Now, I learn from a friend, theyve taken monthly dues for someone elses membership, out of his acct for 3 mos before he realized. Plus, reading these reviews IM NOT THE ONLY ONE THIS HAS HAPPENED TO IM REPORTING IT TO D.A. AND BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU.
DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION. They will lie to you just to get you to sign that contract. They will randomly charge you fee's to the card you have linked to your contract and at no time are you told what these fee's are. You are either just suppose to know or call in wondering why you were double charged for a membership. GREAT COMMUNICATION!
Golds Gym is a scam. DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT GO HERE. IT WILL BE A HUGE ISSUE FOR YOU AND A REGRET IN THE FUTURE. Look at other options, this place isn't worth your time.
Gold's Gym at Simi Valley assisted my desire to pursue a healthy life most especially after I recovered from kidney cancer 4 years ago. The facilities at the gym are incomparable, well maintained and always up to date. At 56, I've never thought of my age as a hindrance in working out with the younger genre. The size, shape and depth of the pool/s are perfect to augment my workout. The bottom line is: I will forever be Gold's Gym member wherever my endeavour will take me....love it!!!!
The gym is clean and the people are friendly. It is a good place to exercise.
