*UPDATE*
I wrote a small review when I first started and now it's time for an updated review after going here for 7 or 8 months.
All of the Coaches are phenomenal, extremely supportive and take interest into their students. Everyone is accommodating to whatever your fitness level is. And will guide you through the workouts and help you understand the movements.
Meshelle is one of the co owners and she is definitely outgoing, upbeat and positive. Anne, is super nice, a great listener, and will actively push you towards your goals. Michael is the other co owner and has experience with different coaching styles that will pretty much fit everyone. Also outgoing and positive attitude. Clark is passionate about crossfit, and you can always ask for help, even when he isn't coaching. Sean is an excellent coach, helpful and upbeat.
The gym itself is clean, and has a raw feel to it which I like. There are no gimmicks, not trying to sell you anything. The other cool part is that Tam Crossfit has it's own weightlifting part, also know as "San Rafael Barbell" so no waiting forever to just lift weighs like other gyms. The equipment is solid, and fully functional. There is plenty of parking at the facility.
Another cool aspect of Tamalpais Crossfit is the community. Everyone is super supportive of each other. No one wants to see you fail. They (or we*) want you to succeed. To push yourself and have fun while doing it.
And finally, something magical happened when I really got consistent with crossfit, I quit vaping. I am almost two months of non use, and I feel really good. It's like I have a part of my life that I thought I would never have back. I can finally say I am a non smoker. So, if your thinking about going or nervous about doing crossfit. Just go.
