Great gym for me. Clean facility and their staffs were nice. Machines were working well and well-maintained.
Could be much better for the price of membership. If I wasn't locked in a year contract I'd cancel and find a different gym. Good luck following a specific gym plan or routine, the place is always so packed that you'll need to modify whatever workout you had planned. The parking lot seems like a sketchy place. The men's locker room is always wet. I look forward to going to the gym almost daily but now I find myself wondering what fresh hell I'll have to deal with each time I go. This gym can be better, it just isn't.
You cannot play basketball if you dont have friends. Pre-made team always takes court. I am waiting 3 hours.
The rules are not inforced here. Members wear shoes in the saunas which is not allowed. Nobody from the management cares.
The staff is pretty awesome, trainers sometimes abuse power and try to reserve machines hours ahead of time.

Top notch training @ the Borel Square San Mateo location see Chris for Martial arts
Being new to the area, we came here around 6:30am to give the club a try with a guest pass provided online. We were told someone needed to activate the pass and they would not be in until 8:30am. The pass online said nothing about time restrictions. How hard is it to do an activation on the computer? What's the point of having someone behind the counter doing absolutely nothing in the morning. Seriously, they turned us away and did not even provide an apology.

Today is my very lucky day to meet Killian and Alyssa in the front desk. Killian calls AAA twice for me and Alyssa gives me the phone number that AAA driver can contact.
I leave my phone and purse in my car. I am grateful to Killian, Alyssa and one young man in the parking lot who search for 24 hours AAA road assistance.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
God bless you all !!!

Pretty much the worst 24 hour fitness I have ever been to, and I have been to a lot. Locker rooms are a mess, multiple showers, toilets, lockers broken, and it is always filthy, I mean scary filthy, you drop anything on the floor and you throw it away. Generally 20 to 50 percent of all the equipment on the floor is broken, what is still working needs maintenance, dryers are always broken so towels are often not available. Cleaner spray and paper towel dispensers are always empty. Staff does nothing except fold towels, you never see them on the floor. If you have any other choices for a gym, even if you have to drive further, do it
This place really stepped up their game by adding 4 new squat racks a couple years ago. All together they have 6 squat racks. Amazing!
During the golden hours it can get pretty packed, but if you go during off peak hours (after 9pm), workouts take less time since you're not waiting around for a rack.

All super sport provide free towel, only wish is that they charge a deposit for them so members don't treat the towels like they're garbage.
The girls are hot, the dudes are buff and they got a ball court, plus I don't have to use my own towel. They could use some better bballs for sure. But ppl steal balls up there so it's possible they try. I'm overpaying but welcome to the bay.
Great gym, very clean and well-stocked. A wide variety of machines and equipment. This 24 Hour Fitness has a much more serious crowd. The San Mateo Sport on El Camino Real is a bit more laid back. You could go there just to hop on an elliptical for half an hour.
The locker rooms and bathrooms are very clean, though I can't speak to the showers, pool, steam room, sauna, or basketball court. There are a variety of classes, and circuit machines.
This supersport can get a bit crowded, but has a ton of cardio and weight machines that are well-maintained. Also a decent size free-weight area. Locker rooms are ok but can get quite cramped.
Dirty and poorly maintained. Pool is so cloudy you can't see your hand in front of your face. Facilities often off limit for classes especially pool. About 6 barbells for roughly 150 people at any given time so if you want to lift weights be prepared to wait longer than you actually work out. Rarely clean towels but there are dirty ones all over the locker room floor. "Free" consultation upon sign up is a 45 minute infomercial for horrifically overpriced personal trainer services ($90 for a 45-50 minute session with a requirement to pay for many sessions in advance). Be prepared to $50 a month for what amounts to run down cardio equipment and a water fountain.
Killian is one of the workers at the front here and not only is he really personable he's also knowledgable. Treated a friend and I so kindly and really answered all the questions we had and was just all over a great worker! Thanks a lot dude we really appreciate all of your help!
Friendly staff, clean, very professional. For me it's about the water features which were all top notch. Pool is three shared lanes, and the jacuzzi is spacious and clean. although the Jets could be harder, it gets the job done. Steam room is perfect temperature, fills with fresh steam often, and has a fresh clean smell. Not old or mildewy. Sauna is spacious and nice. They have a suit dryer. Fresh towels are always available. Facilities are well maintained and there is plenty of parking. One of the best on this side of the Bay.
I love the Group X 6:00am classes. I also love being greeted with a smile and warm towel every time I walk in by Rich.
This gym is a joke. They have a huge rig with bumpers to do lifts but you can't drop the bumper weights/bar on the heavily padded floor they have. What is the point of the bumper weights... To be able to lift heavy then drop it. Give me a break 24. You're turning into Planet Fitness.
