Worked out at CrossFit Almaden (CFA) for about a year and a half and if I didn't move I would have stayed a member. CFA allowed me to increase my overall health, fitness and weight goals. I highly suggest if you have any doubts or questions to give the staff of CFA a chance to answer your questions and concerns. One of the best decisions I made for my personal health.
I was in San Jose and I dropped in for four days in a row. All of the folks at CFA were friendly and welcoming and this box is super clean and has plenty of space to accommodate whatever size class and whatever the WOD is. I even met some folks that are in the same line of work I'm about to get in to.
Should things workout, then this is the area CrossFit gym for me. I can't say enough kind things about the people here (coaches and athletes) and I'm really appreciative of their welcoming attitudes.

Great community. Coaches care about your individual ability. They don't push you any harder than you can take.
This Crossfit facility seems to be very friendly and supportive. Good equipment. There is outdoor area to run around parking- which is great idea.
An absolutely wonderful gym. I was visiting down for the holidays and wanted to get a workout in, and I immediately felt comfortable. It's an exceptionally community-oriented box - you can tell by the open communication between the members and the many decorations on the wall celebrating members and planning group events. Also, the facility is great - lots of open space. Really glad I stopped by!
Best place for getting after it. Coaches are super friendly and helpful. I had been going to 24 hours for 12 years before i came to crossfit almaden. I've been here 6 months and am very happy with the results.

I am currently stationed in Ft. Benning, GA due to some military training with the Army. However, my family lives in San Jose, CA where I frequently visit during periods of leave. Luckily for me, Crossfit Almaden makes visiting my family and maintaining/improving my overall fitness easy!
I have been doing competitive crossfit and powerlifting for a little over three years now and have been to countless gyms across the country (due to military moves, training, traveling, etc.). I will honestly say, Crossfit Almaden is one of the best crossfit communities that I have ever witnessed. The coaches are experienced and wise (PJ is a Regional competitor himself), the equipment is top notch, the facility feels like a home "box," the programming is some of the best I have ever ran, and the people are absolutely wonderful. In fact, I enjoyed my time with Crossfit Almaden so much that I brought my parents along for a few classes and they decided to join themselves!
If you are new to this type of fitness community or an experienced crossfit athlete, please give Crossfit Almaden a try. The functional fitness lifestyle changed my life and brought new meaning to my physical capacity to thrive.

Visiting from out of town and was looking for a good crossfit gym. These guys are friendly, relaxed, but still kick your butt in a workout. Definitely coming back next time I visit. Wish I could make it my home gym.
