I attended a yoga class here some months ago. I bought the $40 package for a month when they first opened up, but only went once because of the following:
While I enjoyed the yoga class, there was a student who became extremely aggravated at me when I accidentally stepped on her mat before class when walking over to access some of the equipment. She yelled out "what the hell!" and I was clueless as to why someone would yell that at the beginning of the class. At the end of the class she approached me, shoulders squared, and scolded me for having stepped on her mat (until that point, I hadn't even noticed) saying that it was considered very rude to do. I have done yoga for over 20 years, and I have never even heard of this. I had to Google it, and even then it seemed like this was something only the snobbiest of yogis are about (and seems very "this land is my land"). She seemed to be a friend of the teacher's, who allowed her to make this comment and then proceeded to talk in a friendly way with her.
The overall vibe that day was completely shifted from one of relaxation and focus to having to do conflict management with an over entitled person who was looking for a fight with a newbie in this space. Yoga teacher did nothing to step up to talk with what seemed to be her friend, so I had to do the brunt of the work to assuage her aggressive vibe.
Will not frequent this place again if it cultivates this kind of a culture. Not accessible for people who walk around and might make a misstep.
