This 24hrs fitness is disgusting. These pictures you see on their website do not depict the actual 24hr fitness at this location.The exercise area for bicycles and treadmill have only blow fans for air conditioning so only pockets in the area will get air. Upstairs its same thing, stale air and stuffy. Every crevice of the building has mold or mildew of some kind that's very visible. The mens bathroom/shower are is also disgusting...Black mold within the locker room mold in the shower area no air to breathe....noone is concerned of the cleanliness when I asked about cleaning they just rolled their eyes and gave me a very weak answer. Do not come here you will get sick..or come see it take pictures and warn everyone...I will post pics later..typical San Francisco might as well give it to the homeless.
Weights are never in order or where they belong. I don't get in until after lunch but I've never been to a gym where people take so little care to put the weights back properly.
CLOSED TODAY without any warning whatsoever. Not even courteous enough to leave an outgoing message for people who call. Absurdly mismanaged.
Just came here and not only there's a bigger pool but very few people hogging the gym equipment.
The staff are super friendly and didn't even occur to me that they were hostile or off puting in anyway.
If someone wanted to have some quiet time and exercise without waiting in line. Come over here!
PS: their fingerprint machines work.
I love this location! It's right down the street from my office. Conveniently located and ample parking across the street. Alex Osborne is my favorite trainer at this location - he always offers me customized and personalized workouts and he helps me adjust those workouts when I have limitations/injuries. His holistic approach to workouts, diet and self care is exactly what I need in my busy life. He always motivates me to do my best but reminds me to take a break when my body or mind needs it. He is the IDEAL trainer and I would recommend him to anyone. Thank you Alex!!!
It is still too humid in the mens locker and there is only one toilet, when it isn't backed up.
One staff member was SUPER pushy with me about getting a personal trainer. At first he used sensible tactics like guilt but then he flat out started insulting me afterwards. Stating that my parents don't really love me if they won't help pay for it ( I was 16 and even after I told him clearly I didn't have the means for a PT). I hope he's gone
So dirty! The bathroom looks looks like a communal bathroom, seems like people goes there to take a shower and walk around naked instead of working out!
This gym ive come to for years because of the people ive met over time but the up keep is horrible the womans bathroom is always nasty sinks broke mans bathroom showers broken theres always things broken at this gym if its not the sauna its the pool if its not that its something else who ever is over seeing this gym needs to do better

Filthy place. Machines are always broken or "slightly broken". Almost died twice on two separate stair master machines. Grimey dudes who lift shirtless and don't wipe the equipment. Staff doesn't say anything. Guys who drop the weights and scream like they think they're Conan the Barbarian, please... just leave.

Unbelievably bad serivice. I already have a membership for SF Fitness in Oakland and was looking for a gym I could get a second membership in SF for me a friend to introduce them to powerlifting.
We both sign up for guest passes online so we can check out the facility. The website doesn't really call out any additional requirements. Our whole Saturday was planned around this.
Friday we get a courtesy call asking when we plan to come in. I say later in the day Saturday.
When we get there on saturday there's a single person at the desk on the phone. We wait 5-10 minutes until he finally gets a moment to ask if we need a towel. Nope, here to check the facilities and claim our guest pass. He says he'll be with us in a moment.
~15 minutes later he informs us we both need an SF address (only one of us does and I'm not sure why it matters because I want an SF membership) and that even if we both did there's no sales rep there to issue us the guest pass.
So, I paid for two cabs and waited in traffic jams and put both our days on hold and skipped my session at my gym to....just be turned away?
All I wanted to do was walk in, find out if I can squat and deadlift, make sure my friend has what they need to get started and then buy a membership.
Instead I guess I have to take get a Oakland location to issue me a guest pass?
Nope. Taking my friend to SF Fitness. Paying $15 for a day pass. Simple.
Its okay. Frequently have broken machines. Temperature can be uncomfortable. Music hasn't been loud in a long time. Few years back, they would have gym music cranked up so loud that I can hear em through my beats. I complained to them quite a few times. I used to work here and would always turn down the music. After I quit, I found out that the Gym Manager placed a lock on it. Others complained as well even while I was working there and I would def turn it down. No1 wants to here Justin's beiber's dumb ass. After much complaints, they eventually kept the volume down. Now... if only they can fix the 60 degrees in the gym during the winter, that'd be nice.
Worst gym I've ever been to ANYWHERE. Dirty, ghetto and homeless clientele. Management don't care. A lot of equipment is broken and stays that way for weeks, in some cases for months.Filthy bathrooms and locker room. Mexicans throwing their trash all over and spitting on the floor. If you wanna feel yourself in a third world country you are more than welcome to go to this location.
not sure why nobody called health inspector yet. This place is filthy. MOLD everywhere. The jacuzzi was not cleaned for ages. Somebody actually wrote on the dirt "clean me", and in a few month it was still not cleaned ;( Mold in a swimming pool, on the tile, in the showers. This is disgusting and unhealthy. No, I don't want this gym to be closed up, I just want it to be cleaned. Properly!
City shuts down entire wet area today. Standards of cleanliness have been lacking for a long time. Bathrooms are nasty. Equipment is limited and often broken. Only one power rack. Paper towel dispensers are usually empty. Time for a renovation or closure. Upper management, please enact change.
Good downtown gym. Equipment is a little dated, but overall one of the better 24 hr fitnesses.
This gym is dirty and poorly maintained. This morning there was not even soap in the bathroom. The water fountain has been broken for over a week. Many of the machines are broken and it takes several weeks for them to be repaired. The pool is closed for maintenance at least twice a month and the bathrooms so disgusting I would never shower there. The washer breaks often and therefore there are many times that clean towels are not available. It does not appear that anyone is actively managing this location. I have been putting up with this horrible experience for too long and I am now going to be seeking membership elsewhere.
Great parking, nice weight room and good amount of cardio equipment. Friendly staff. My favorite location in the city.
1) Pathetic weight room. See for yourself.
2) Leak in men lockers' ceiling lasted 9 weeks before they noticed. (Nope. Still unfixed)
3) Bathroom stalls (both men and women) perpetually dirty.
4) Customer service is top notch and outstanding.
This club has deteriorated beyond belief. They are now canceling the early morning yoga classes which were highly attended. We were told that the new management would improve the place but that has not happened. I go to 24 hour all over and the company seems to neglect clubs that are used by people of color and spend big bucks on the others. When you call the company customer service line you are promised a call back from a manager but they don't call back. All around, a cesspool of a club. Time for 24 hour brass to drop some resources into this place. One star is being generous.
This place is good enough to accomplish a workout. I enjoy this place for the pool services it provides. I find it is outdated and comes off as dirty. Although it is decently kept. They have a sauna, steam room and a hot tub which is nice. This place, as many other 24 hr fitness spots in the area need a major upgrade. The service is good. Free parking and location are great features.
