Its kinda a gross gym but open closer to its name than other. 24/ not hour fitnes places so who's complaining.
How hard it is to bolt a bathroom door? Been like this for weeks and none of the bathroom stalls lock for privacy... only 1 is working currently
Severely poor maintenance, no towl service or dryer for pool area. Tiles missing and dripping fluid from ceiling and radiators. The solution? Put a tarp over stuff and a bucket to catch it. Lockers often destroyed beyond use. People often stealing shower heads in men's locker room. Sweat drenched matts. Trainers dropping like flies. They've improved a lot recently but be forewarned that this has been the norm.
In dire need of repairs and updating. To start with staff did not acknowledge me as I entered or exited the facility. Walls had damage in multiple places. Weights all over the place, no staff member working to replace the weights after gym going a$$holes don't put things away. A large portion of weights missing chunks of the rubber protection coating. Someone's dirty Tupperware container just sitting on the floor. Drop tile ceiling in need of repair in multiple locations. Machines missing rubber grips and paint. WiFi is spotty and wouldn't let me stream music for more then 15 seconds. To top that all of there is no swimsuit dryer so I had to pack my wet suite home. I will personally not be revisiting the location until they have brought there facility up to snuff.
This place is atrocious! Easily the worst 24 I've ever been to--and I've been to many all over the country. Much of the equipment is broken or about to break. Free weights are not even close to where they belong so good luck finding the weight you want. And it's so hot!! Even when it's only 60° outside, it's burning up inside. It's completely miserable. I'd be pretty embarrassed if I were the club manager.
The facilities are clean and they have plenty of weights and machines to lift, it's just that the lack of windows makes me not want to come here again.

I've taken dumps nicer than this gym. Staff doesn't give a f***. Most equipment is old, often damaged, rusty, missing weight pins etc. also busy AF constantly.

The people's gym. Very crowded at peak hours. Ventilation or AC not operated adequate. Faculty being upgraded slowly. Not fancy, but works.

Overall, I'm thankful for it in the neighborhood. They understand the demographic of the neighborhood and know simply that we wouldn't pay any more, despite all of the amenities.

Needs updating and new equipment. Pool is nice and spa when working.
It's good, lots of different equipment. Although the WiFi is terrible to non existent, this is a bit more of a problem because the gym is underground and cell service will also not be possible. Get a new IT guy .
Used to go there a lot before they re-located. OK overall appearance and cleanliness, but never too busy to get bumped off of their elliptical exercisers when you decide to take a 1.5 hour marathon....
All the people who complain on here are the people who come when they're already having a bad day. The problem with this gym is that the same people who complain on here are the ones who make everything worse (and yes I mean it, quite a few of the reviews are from regulars who attend this gym and act like the world falls apart when something is down, even if the employees have done all they can). There are several ongoing issues at this gym. Treadmills that turn off due to members plugging two treadmills into one circuit. When you ask an employee to reset the treadmills, they can. The place is dirty.... SOMETIMES, you drama queens. Just like any other place, it's not always 100%. The bathrooms can get bad because people play ribbon dancers with the toilet paper and leave their hair in the showers as if they were creating bird's nests. Despite this, I always see an employee come in before it gets too bad to clean. Stairmasters were getting pretty bad... until they got at least seven new ones. There are paper towels that are empty... quickly solved by telling an employee about it. They are all the way at the front... you see it gets busy... what makes you think they can POSSIBLY see it if they're helping all the people at the front who are fighting them on towel service, payment issues, retail, etc. The employees didn't put the mess there, please remember that and pick up after yourself. One reviewer said "when you ask someone at the front a question, it's like you asked them a question on the SAT." Grow up. no, really.... grow up because that was a test we all took in high school. Chances are you asked a really stupid question. Towel service is not an obligation to anyone, it's a paid service... why should you get it free when others pay? I pay for mine. If you don't pay for it I'd be pissed if you got one. I get irritated when I workout and the weights are everywhere... but I don't remember seeing the employees playing hide-the-easter-eggs. The club is getting better with new equipment, fixed amenities, and a COMPETENT staff (some more than others). However, to any aspiring members, I regret to inform you the one thing that will never change is the terrible attitudes of entitled brats, stubborn people who won't listen, people who believe it isn't their own job to clean up after themselves, and the people who instinctively give a one star review to a place that doesn't deserve it when they are upset.
There is some corporate neglect seen at this club, but is becoming better due to a certain location closing... causing Ocean to benefit in supply. Short-staffed but the staff is very, very helpful. I imagine the times the club sees its' lows is when there is one or two employees running this massive gym... to which I say CLEAN YOUR MESS.
I still got the work done. Crazy busy all the time and what is up with the $2 dollar towel fee. Millbrae 24hr doesn't charge to borrow a towel... smh
Unfortunately all the bad reviews are very accurate, often very dirty, equipment frequently broken. However the 2 times a machine was broken they had someone come fix it immediately, even at 5 AM. As with all other 24 hour gyms in SF it is very busy so it gets dirty quickly.. often have multiple staff members chilling talking at the sign in desk.. don't know if they're told to stay there but it would make it a lot nicer to come to if it was cleaned up. Huge problem is customers not racking weights tho. This gym is the worst of all with that. Has what is needed to train, if you are willing to wait your turn
I can't express enough the gratitude I have towards this gym. Yes it has its ups and downs but some employees take the extra time out of their way to make you happy. Kim
The manager is so great. She helped me exchange my nike jacket when she use to work at the alemany gym. Never did she give me an issue or attitude with store policy stated on the customer receipt. Unlike the new manager at alemany ricky... was completly rude did not or didnt know how to do the exchange for me.
Well I brought the merchandise I bought at a different gym to another gym and Kim helped me out. I was so happy I need to let her know I much I apprecited her.
I also want to say I love Libby Margarita.
Gym instructor. She teaches bodypump and cycling and let me tell you ...she isn't just an instructor but a beauty beast. she will push you to you become it. Like when she says your name because she believes in you and you look in the mirror working extra hard..like I believe in me. Best feeling.. and thats why i love this gym. One more thing thank you to all the cleaning crew keep the house nice and tightytie. People need to learn to respect equipment and clean after themselfs... one downfall thou. .. there was a long period of time where the a.c was broken and the elevator keept breaking... its like and ita bond to happen just not too often.

Pool down more than up. Hot tub never hot enough when working. Great staff but corporate policy is to spend as little money as possible and it shows.
This place has severe problems. The elevator to the parking garage is broken a lot of the time. Many of the machines are broken. Some technically function but rattle and cluck and click when you use them. There is a hot water pipe onvthe ceiling that runs the length of the facility and drips hot water randomly in several locations including over some machines and the mens urinals. This place is not being kept up.
Pretty run of the mill run down gym. Bugs crawling all over the wall by the hot tub.. Parking is near impossible. If you like rowing machines just don't come. 24hr makes it's money here but clearly invests in facilities elsewhere.
If you're a 24 hour fitness member you know what you're getting when you step into any of their locations. The paper towels are usually completely empty and the locker rooms are filthy. This gym is no different. They do have towel service (which you have to pay separately for). As per usual, the free weights are strewn across the gym and you must wait ten minutes for the benchpress to open up. Positives: wifi works well.
Its extremely crowded during peak hours, but has all the equipments needed for all your body parts and different kinds of fitness training. Also management is quick in fixing broken equipments. Parking was not too bad untill target came and some of the parking spots are allocated only for target customers. Although the maximum wait time for me to get a spot is between 5-7 minutes during peak hours.
