The gym is very big. There's lots of machines and a large room for classes that can be used by anyone when there's no classes. People keep to themselves, I've never had any issues with anyone. The staff are friendly. I get a discount due to my job so the price is good. There is a pool, a steam room, a jacuzzi, and a sauna. The showers, bathroom and locker rooms are kept clean. I will continue to go here.
Very great gym. Staff is really helpful and friendly. They are always there when you need it. I would say they go above and beyond to make sure gym members have a wonderful experience. Sure there are the usual unracked weights and at times the gym is packed especially during the evening but overall this gym is outstanding.
Been here for 5 or 6 yrs, so far good I will recommend in shape to be your place to work out

Been coming here for four months and so far it is great. There is a great range of equipment and good amount of space. The only problem here, can be the people that come to the gym. Many people who decide to take turns of 30 minutes at a single machine. Besides that great gym.
The issue here is that a lot of people who use in-shape have no etiquette, you don't have to tell real trainers to restock, wipe off, leave space, not to hog the machine. If you're nasty at home you'll be nasty at the gym. Nobody should have to tell you to flush the toilet. We all have an equal responsibility to help maintain the gym in which we use. Think about it, its etiquette. You don't see this in Monterey or Carmel. Etiquette people.

Place is always full, morning or night. Staff is ok. you won't always get to use the equipment you want due to how full it always is.

Hector is a great manager at this in shape. all past complaints have been pretty muh resolved great gym

I've been a customer since 3 years ago. And nearly 1 month ago bathrooms are always dirty, there are no paper towels. The machines are dirty dusty. Also the sauna and steam are dirty and clients come with tennis shoes. I not sure what is happen . I recommend to be focus in it.

I am new to this town and I was looking for a good place to work out and I thought inshape was a good option. I went there and took my child to the childcare and it was not what I thought! One of the girls in the daycare is very rude my daughter have a hard time with her. She is kind of fake she is nice with the people and children she knows and that's not fair. She is there to work, instead she is often taking selfies and texting. We pay for childcare and we expect these ladies to make sure our children feel safe and we also expect them to have some skills to calm down our children when they are new to this type of environment! And it is ridiculous to have to stop our workouts because they can't control children. They are too lazy the less children they have is better for them!!! I am not going to this place anymore
I would of give in shape a five but am disappointed. I enjoy going to the gym but, it seems that membership never keeps their word. I signed up and my husband joined a month after we were told that we would recieve a coupon in the mail within a week so we could get our in shape bag. We waited and checked the mail and no coupon arrived. We went back to the same person who signed us up and she told us that it was not a week and we needed to wait a month it is close to three months and no coupon ever arrived and no bag was ever given. In reality the bag isn't important to us but, it would be nice if the company kept their word. I also wanted to give some input. I always hear over the intercom in the pool area telling kids no jumping in the pool. It would be nicer if they would also announce over the intercom of a friendly reminder for members to clean the machines after each use.
I recently moved here from So Cal where I trained at a Gold's Gym, it's the best club in Salinas hands down. On par with LA Fitness and 24 Hour.
I'm used to training in a hard core BB environment and although the equipment is not as comprehensive the club strives to appeal to both the novice and expert with a knowledgeable and friendly staff. I love the early opening time that works with my schedule and it always opens on time.
My only complaint is as a early am member the club has not been cleaned up from the night before and the cleaning staff interfere's with you're work out.
Just started my membership here. My only dissatisfaction is the pool, it could be alot cleaner for the amount of people that go through there, same with the locker rooms. Sand accumulating on the floor, floating hair and salty water! Other than that its an awsome Gym! Alot of variety and the staff is very helpful and answered all my questions,membership wast fast easy no hassles.What made me really sign up though was In-Shapes reviews and I noticed that In-Shape go's out if its way to keep its members happy and meet their concerns.Keep up the good work.Thank you.
