After being a member at this gym for over a year, I loved going here several times a week. But due to COVID19 I moved and tried to cancel and they REFUSED to accept cancellation over the phone or email. They demand I have to either physically go in store or write them a letter and mail it to them. Unbelievable, this is the year 2020 during a GLOBAL PANDEMIC when a lot of people don't want to visit places in person and your asking members who paid their dues on time every month to make it as difficult as possible to cancel a membership when EVERY OTHER BUSINESS ON THE PLANET, YOU CAN CALL OR EMAIL TO CANCEL! Unprofessional, unethical, and a shame you are resulting to shoddy business practices during a pandemic. This is extremely short sighted and if you think getting an extra $35 in exchange for having a customer who loved your gym and spread the word and got other people signed up who will now not recommend your gym to anyone and is writing this review is mind boggling.

Staff reassured me that no one would be charged when they re-opened from the COVID lockdown. Was told that plenty of notice would be given before hand when the reopening would occur so anyone who wanted to cancel before fees restarted would have time to do so. This was a blatant lie. They sent out one email late the night before announcing fee collections the next day. When I called to confront them about this they said it was part of the membership contract and nothing could be done. So now in addition to having the owner spamming my email box for the last few months with his weird frat boy libertarian rants about how gyms are essential business, I'm being charged for a gym that has been closed for months. Seriously just go to planet fitness they cost less than half the price for fitness system and are apparently not run by a pack of thieves.
Should also add that they where refusing to let anyone cancel their memberships during the lockdown, so great little con they pulled.

Tons of equipment, helpful staff, nice to have a sauna in the locker room, really the only gym I would approve in west sac to anyone looking for a new gym

Good assortment of equipment. People are nice. Open all the time, so you can work out whenever you want. It is relatively clean.
They need to purchase new towels. The ones that they hand out are very poor quality. Also, they only have either a bath towel or a small washcloth. Neither of which are appropriate for actual use in the gym. The towel they gave me today was basically a rag...

I love this gym, it's the best spot in West Sacramento! There's a lot of machines to use and a lot of hands free weights & I lost love the back room with the power lifting equipment

Top notch customer service l, friendly staff and excellent trainers. Penelope C. signed me up early this year and I'm a member ever since. She's great and very helpful. Always have a happy smile. I have a spin class on Monday and Wednesday and the class is phenomenal. Come take a tour and check it yourseld. Highly recommended.

When you want good classes or to have a good variety of weight equipment. This is for sure not a fluffy gym. But all ages are in there and welcomed.

Came here to tan over a year ago and would give this place 5 stars. Danielle (mngr ?) could not have been more helpful and pleasant, not to mention the tanning room was 100% cleaner. This last month, not quite the same. The tanning room (standing) needs a serious cleaning. Raised the monthly fee for non-members to $30 (not a value). The owners need to re-evaluate the financial benefits...once the machine is paid for (appears to be older), it's all profit. However, two night staff (Omar & ??) are wonderful.

Fitness System In West Sac is hands down the best gym in Sacramento for legit people wanting to workout. The vibe is great, the staff, owners and management cater to its members. Plenty of iron to throw around, tons of up to date equipment and machines. The Crossfit room is a bonus for different training activities. The members are a wide variety too. From your serious power lifters to first time gym folks and all in between. The owners and management have went out of their way to cater to a group I am training to do the Spartan Beast with! Thank you! Its not your basic large chain type gym that caters to people who just come to hang out and post selfies. This gym is for legit people who share the common goal of getting in shape. NOT afraid to sweat or put in some hard work.

I have never used any of the gyms services or equipment but refused my cancellation and has continued to charge my card and threaten to have my account sent to collections. They must really need the money. Do not trust these people

This gym is really unorganized they can't even fill out proper paper work for my gym pass they claim I started in March when I started in April and I even told them to go Chek the cameras to prove that I only started to come in April. They checked the system and they don't even have me in there then I asked when the owner is going to be there and they said take his email. Not like he's going to reply regardless.

This company is harassing me Daily. I received a phone call months ago suggesting my card needed to be updated as my cc was compromised. When updated i told this gym i would no longer need this membership as
i have joined a MUCH BETTER GYM! Capitol Athletic Club! I highly recommend,They are great. They would never be as petty as this company.
So i cancelled my membership. They then called me a month later suggesting i needed to pay them for a new month. I told them once again i was not interested in continuing this membership. They told me to come in and cancel, i told them i do not have time to go to their gym. This would take too much of my time. I no longer would give them money. They called a month later suggesting i owed them more money. I laughed and told them no. I cancelled. Then the calls started coming in 3-4 times a week. anyways, here we are 4 months later and they are now suggesting i pay them $200. I have not been to any of their facilities since my cancellation.
While i am here reviewing the awful policies at this place i guess i should tell you about how nasty the mens locker room is. bathroom and shower are grimy. This location certainly has a ghetto feeling to it.
Do Not Sign Up. There are better choices

It's an ok gym, except that it's too hot in there. I asked if they can make it cooler but was told that they have to keep the temperature at 74! That is ridiculous! Too warm for people to work out. Obviously they try to save money on the electric bill; however, their fees are not cheap. Will find some other place to work out.

the club itself is nice but management are things. I cancelled my membership like I was supposed to but they still took out my money and have not pard me back. I've called at least 10 times, emailed them 5 times they said it would take a couple business but it's been 9 days now. Once again they said they've processed my refund but still no money. Consumer beware.
