Simply a great gym to attend. I bought a personal trainer for a few weeks, but I eventually ran out of time to continue coming every weekend. But whilst I was there, the amount of machines to use were great. Give it a shot! Definitely worth it.
Buyer beware!!! When you sign a personal training sessions with 1 year contract, they don't verbally express the time period you can cancel the contract and how much you will pay the penalty, such as 50% buy out of the remaining contract, if you miss the cancellation period, which I think is only 6 days. Yes, I am legally responsible for the contract after I signed it. But, you cannot argue that it is not really up and up in business, if they don't also tell you about the cancellation period and penalty, knowing the customers are all absorbed in excitement, signing the contract to help them get fit. That's all I want you to be aware of, so you will not be another victim of your own enthusiasm.
There is always equipment available for every body.
Good friendly and clean environment. Hardly no waiting for machines or free weights any time of day. Recently did a minor remodel and some equipment was moved into a different area. Took a while to get use to the changes.
Amazing gym probably my favorite has a basketball court and swimming pool most of the la fitness also have a protein bar! They provide you with amazing supplies.
Nice gym. Crowded during the week. No steam room just dry hot room. Laverne is better gym and they have steam room newer equipment. Sep 14 they remodeled it is very nice. Upgraded to four stars. Do not know what is going on with dumbles and curel bars. Seems like half as many?

The weight lifting area is in shambles. Dumbbells are not in the right order, I could hardly find a pair that matched. Plates were thrown all over the place. It was just a mess, I'm so glad this isn't my home gym, as I only visited on vacation.
this was a nice LA fitness. Not perfect like the Irvine one but not as bad as the one in Montery Park. Bring flipflops for shower cause they are not that clean.

Plenty of machines to use as it's never overly busy. However, I can't speak to the personal trainers or the classes as I never utilized those aspects of the gym. But, unlike other LA Fitness and many other gyms its pretty clean, well ventilated (it dosesn't smell like sweat or B.O.), and is well maintained. It is where I went to on a regular basis when I was in the area.

Sometimes this gym is okay, but there are so many douchey people in the gym. Constantly dressed to look good, and they sit there texting flirting and socializing the entire time while all the machines are taken up. Then they look at you like your in the club trying to act hard. Annoying af, i dont enjoy paying top dollar to go to a popularity contest and wait for any real weights. Staff/management needs to change some things. You should not be able to occupy an area for more than 15 minutes if all the other machines are taken up.. la fitness? More like la popularity contest bs

Great people working at this location lots of parking and classes for everyone. Water aerobic classes and a jacuzzi to relax your tired mussels

The men changing room in this city of Upland facility in need of carpet cleaning ASAP OMG! Smell disgusting - throw ups! Have informed twice (Months) about the hallway rotten smell issue every time passing by except "N-B-C" (NoBodyCare) Please, we have got to get that carpet remove or clean in the men's area. This is ridiculous!
I joined this gym last summer and since have not been able to use the rowing machines, which is frustrating because this is why I joined in the first place. The manager does her best but leaves it to the repair guy. When I spoke to him, he admitted he had the parts but wouldn't make the time. It is simply not a priority for the repair guy or management to keep these machines, and many others, in good repair. Upland is the gym closest to me but I will be visiting other LA Fitness gyms that take greater pride in their facility's upkeep.
Not to be trusted. I paid a large initial fee so that my daughter could freeze her account while at school for no fee. That worked the first year, but the second year I was charged $10 a month. The only way I became aware of this additional fee was via my credit card bill. When I called LA Fitness to discuss the charge I was told LA Fitness changed my plan, and that was my loss. When I signed up the guy even encouraged me to sign all my daughters up so that if they chose to come in the future they would be a part of my plan and wouldn't have to pay for a new plan, since I could freeze their accounts for free. What a bate and switch. They refused to credit my account for the additional charges. No apology, nothing. No thank you LA Fitness.
This LA Fitness is clean and decent for a large commercial gym. It lacks on the amount of squat racks and Smith machinces. There are apable cable machines. Overall it's one of the better LA Fitness locations I have been to.
They need to do a better job fixing equipment in a timely manner a stair Mill has been broken for over 6 months

Front desk staff unfriendly and should take their attitude to the tanning salon across the plaza instead. Great facility, always clean. Majority of machines in 100% working order. Staff, is otherwise awesome

I just want to lift free weights without having to wait an exorbitant amount of time for a squat rack or bench to open up. This location has one adjustable squat rack. It's always taken and also in an awkward location. The other two are not adjustable, so if you squat too low the barbell will hit the sides of the rack. I'm 5'9" and this happens all the time. Traffic is high at this location and parking becomes an issue if you go anytime between 4pm-8pm. I've been to probably 6 gyms in my life and I have never seen so many naked dudes in the locker room before. Apparently there are a lot of exhibitionists here.
Outside of that there are plenty of machines and treadmills if that's what you're into. Amenities include locker rooms, showers, hot tub, Olympic sized pool, racquetball courts, basketball court, and a smoothie bar.
