My first gym since my time in the Navy (100 years ago) so really nothing to compare it to. Seems very clean, well maintained and equipped. Friendly and helpful staff. I use their magnificent pool. It's fantastic.

Great family oriented gym, offering range of sports and classes. Definitely worth to have the family membership as it offers child care meanwhile working out (morning and evening)

Great place to take your kids for sports and many other year round activities. There is also a great on site gym and basketball course that is state of the art.

This is supposed to be a family gym. The behavior and dress code is subpar.

Bad experience here. I was overcharged for my membership. I was told I would be contacted regarding a refund but I never was.

While the childcare center is secure and there seem to be competent people running the show, it didn't measure up as a preschool. They also fed my child donuts without my permission.

This is a Y. It is not a boutique fitness center. It doesn't have every piece of weight lifting equipment and free toiletries in the showers like a Gold's Gym or "luxury" places.
But it does have an A+ staff and a sense of community none of those do. It also has indoor and outdoor basketball courts, an indoor astro-turf field for soccer/football/boot camps, and two large pools that you won't find elsewhere. There are weights, cardio machines and classrooms for your typical work out needs.
And the biggest selling point of all is the family nature. My son had outgrown any "kiddie-center" other gyms offer. But here at the Y he can have fun instead of just being baby sat. (Other gyms don't let kids participate until high school age at ealiest.) He loves the facilities and it is always the first place he requests going.

The Scheu Family YMCA is a fantastic place for families of all ages. I've been a member for almost 2-years and love it.

The facility offers:
* indoor soccer arena
* basketball court/gymnasium - 6 hoops
* free weights
* circuit machine weights
* treadmills
* stair stepper
* elliptical trainers
* exercise bikes including recumbent bikes

In addition this facility has:
* bike spinning room
* dance room
* pool table
* table tennis (ping pong)
* cardiac room
* young kids play area

Classes are numerous for both kids and adults. For adults the most popular classes include pilates, Zumba, and cardio.

NOTE: This facility was the former Wayne Gretzky roller hockey park and converted into a YMCA. The roller hockey field is now an indoor soccer area.
