Great gym, really nice employees!
Hit or miss with some of the front desk staff. Some are super friendly and others woke up on the wrong side of the bed. Bathrooms and locker room could use some continuous deep cleaning and fresh scent. Maybe two out of the 10+ treadmill's TV's work, the rest do not. Good variety of group classes. Instructors are knowledgeable of their routines. Personal trainers are very personable.
*Update* 2020. Staff was very accommodating on freezing my account temporarily.
Unethical business practices happening. Cancelled our membership before the end of the year and they are still taking money out of our account and are unwilling to help. We are pursuing a refund. Do not trust them with your debit card information. Called many times and keep getting different answers. Spoke with a manager who was unprofessional and not helpful. Apparently didn't do her job as we received our cancellation email yet still received another charge.
I like that its all woman!! I feel very comfortable. I dont have to worry about parking at the time I go. It perfect. Love the spa and sauna. I wish I had more time to enjoy it. I love the class environment. It keeps me challenged and inspired. Instructors are great very motivating. 1I wish there was more space for classrooms as there is only 1 room and only 1 class happening every 50 mins. So no variety on classes at specific times. Its always the same class happening pretty much but instructor throws in a variety of workouts. I love that. No space to really stretch. Wish they had more room but it seems they are focusing more on using empty space for personal training. They definitely need more room.
It is comfortable here with a good variety of classes. I recommend Pilates with Violet.

Clean, easy access, ample parking. Large selection of classes. Spa is attached.
I purchased a massage and the therapist talked the entire time and never really massaged me, she used equipment and never really touched me. Awful massage, the worst I have had. Front desk help is polite. Some personal trainers take up much of the limited workout space. Free weights are minimal and excercise machines seem to be made for men, too big. Gym, bathrooms, sauna and whirlpool are clean. When the gym isn't very busy it can be a decent place to workout, with the above exceptions. Sorry but its true.

The Northridge location is great! The staff is very friendly and courteous. The trainers are very knowledgeable and tailor your workouts to your particular needs. The classes are fun and intense. They have a cleaning staff that keeps the whole facility in tip top condition. They even offer 10 minute Free massages during the day!

Front desk manager was not very nice or welcoming or friendly she was rude.....but the gym itself is nice clean and their machines are up and running....
I came to this gym with great expectations but I found all the aerobic instructors are old and the classes are boring they dont have life.I wish the instrucrors were more fun and younger.
I love Total Woman Gym! My family has been coming here for years. It's a great place where you can feel comfortable while you work out. It's always in good repair, and I never have to wait long for the machines or weights I want. They also offer spa services, which are amazing! I have yet to do the personal training program, but I'm definitely interested. The child care is affordable and really nice - my son LOVES to go and keeps asking to go to the gym! Highly recommended!
The gym itself is great and the Trainer here who trained me was the BEST! What I am very disappointed about is the fact that I am moving away to Texas where there is no TOTAL WOMAN GYM therefore I went in the week I found out I was leaving. I asked to speak to the MANAGER to cancel my member ship. They brought in the manager who was there for the day I guess? I told her the reason why I was cancelling my membership and I asked her I would not be able to come work out at all after the day I cancelled my membership so I needed her to cancel my membership on the spot and not charge me for the month I was told I had to pay. She told me not to worry because I wouldn't be billed!!!! I check my bank account and what do I see? I GOT BILLED AFTER BEING TOLD I WOULDN'T BE BILLED BECAUSE I WAS NOT GOING TO ABLE TO COME TO THIS GYM BECAUSE I WAS MOVING AWAY!!!! I called and asked to speak to the manager once I saw I was billed, yes they had the "MAIN" manager talk to me on the phone and i told her the reason i cancelled my membership therefore they didn't have to charge me. Well this is what she told me! "We had to charge you because you did not come 15 days before your monthly payment was due" I told her the reason I cancelled once again and see if maybe she was able to reimburse me my money as I was moving away to TEXAS and wasn't able to attend at all for the month they charged me for and she said "NO" it was too late? She said I had to talk to her about my situation and maybe she was able to not have my card billed.! HOW THE HELL WAS I SUPPOSE TO KNOW I HAD TALKED TO YOU ABOUT THIS WHEN NONE OF YOUR FRONT DESK GIRLS EVEN THE MANAGER WHO I HAD TOLD MY SITUATION TOLD ME I HAD TO SPEAK TO YOU ABOUT IT? This is the dumbest most ignorant manager ever. They stole my money even though I had told them i was not going to live here anymore! But they never mentioned anything about being charged even after cancelling my membership!
I advise anybody that is planning to attend this gym to check everything before signing up as they will take your money without you even attending this gym. BAD SERVICE HERE!! I will be contacting my bank and letting them know I did not authorize this payment to get my money reimburse.! This is a great gym but the manager and workers in the front are very young and dumb. This situation about being charged not even the monthly $45 but $60 is insane. I advise any girl interested to not SIGN UP to a gym where they don't even explain how many days prior you have to have to cancel a membership because you are moving away to a place where this gym isn't even known.! I hope to not have to deal with such ignorant managers who do not help you at all after talking to one of the "MANAGERS" about your situation.
