I've been going here for about 10 years (consistently for 4-5). I've watched them grow from a tiny studio to the larger one they are today, and frankly they've only gotten better. It's a welcoming, lovely community - everyone from the instructors to the people who run it. Some yoga studios are high pressure, either in sales or in classes. This is a whole different experience - they're conscientious and will follow up with you, but you don't feel like yoga is being shoved down your throat, lol. And as for the teachers, they come adjust, give personal instruction, and always keep an eye out for struggling students (or hotshot long-time students who can use a boost!).
I want to encourage anyone who is considering yoga but finds it pretentious or scary to give this studio a try. (Megan and Renee are GREAT for beginners.) Also, this is an all-genders body-positive studio, so no one should feel like they're going to stand out or feel awkward for any reason.
I'm getting no kickbacks for writing this, by the way. They've just always taken care of me and I like to give credit where it is due. Honestly, I'm one of those yoga dorks now, but it really has changed my life. When I started I couldn't touch my toes. Now, I can get my shoulder behind my knee! But more than that, I'm calmer, more centered, and yoga has truly become my refuge and my happy place because of Yogaworks MV.
