I like this 24 Hour Fitness location the best! (among others in Pasadena and Arcadia)
I mainly do jogging and swimming. The Arcadia pool is always too crowded and the Pasadena pool tends to be too cold for me. The Altadena pool here is not too crowded (there are 2 lanes, so 4 people can swim) and water temperature is just right.

Great gym! Only issue in the past year is the Inconvenient Jump-roper who comes early AM to do a jumprope dance routine in the way of the basketball court, water fountains, equipment wipes, and general walk-way. The rumor around the gym is that if you kill him, you become him.

I took a Booty Bootcamp here with Amber and Alice and it was a great experience! Very friendly and they made sure to give all of us one on one attention and tips on how to improve our form. I wish more gyms had these types of classes!

I've been a regular "early bird" at this club every weekday for the past 8 years. This club is an important business that has improved the quality of the local Altadena neighborhood community. Many fine points to say about this club, its equipment / amenities, and its personnel, but I must admit that I have seen a subtle but steady decline in the quality of the maintenance of this club... A few observations here:
1. This club is 'open' to the local homeless. Expect to find several bathroom stalls occupied in the early morning by non-club members who live in their cars in the adjacent parking garage. While my heart goes out to these people, they often occupy the stalls for on wards of 30 minutes.The front desk attendant is usually busy entertaining himself on his phone. I have personally had to 'plunge' out toilets before I could use them because they were so clogged.
2. Locker room and restroom sanitation is minimal at best. No more fresh smell that used to be there in the early hours after regular cleanings. I recently witnessed a cleaning person spray disinfectant in a couple of corners, but saw no mop. He was in and out in 2 minutes. The floor in the locker room and restroom is very soiled. You must wear shower shoes at all times to protect your feet.
3. Basketball court light fixtures have been vandalized by club members and now only 6 of the 15 fixtures still work. This problem seems to have been totally ignored by management as the lighting quality has steadily dwindled over the past months. Also, I regularly remove trash every morning from the perimeter of the basketball court. These are bottles, gum wrappers, food left overs, and other debris that careless members leave from the night before.
4. Maintenance personnel are obviously extremely busy and overwhelmed with the amount of work that needs to be done and could use extra help.
I would greatly appreciate if the 24 hr fitness local management and the 24 hour fitness corporate would address these issues and bring this Altadena California club back to it's former level of quality.

I just started going here... The workers seem nice and I have had no issues with anyone. Seems OK to recommend.

The parking lot can be tricky and the short walk can be confusing, but once you find it, then you are ok.
The staff is decent and the gym is clean. I rarely see any broken machines.
Oh, the new bluetooth speaker sounds nice in the GX room.

I wouldn't even even give a star I'm very dissatisfied with MOSTLY the equipment that is broken they do not fix after God knows how long. Good example the STAIRMASTER have been broken for months they barely fix them for a week and they break again anyone that uses are lucky to find one or two working which is rare and then they break again. Wheres the regional manager when things need to be addressed instead of calling to see how much sales has gone up or down.

This gym is very convenient if you leave in the area and its open 24 hours a day but it has terrible management equipment is always broken, stair master been broken over 2 weeks complain they said people drop to much sweat on them thats why they break constantly really? Lol weights are old and most exercise equipment is broken and never replace staff is cool minus the terrible general manager all she cares about is sales only and thats about it, old manager got fired with another employee for drinking on the job true story, they are lucky there is no competition in the area only reason they sell is because no one else is around

Been coming here for 9 years. I love this gym and especially the people who work out here. Bathrooms are pretty clean compared to others.

The dirtiest gym I go too. Not sure if they need more staff or just better staff. Pool stays cloudy looking sauna floor never gets clean. Weights are all over the place on gum floor. No one puts weights back in proper place. Always 1 to 2 machines broken.

Forgotten in time facility. Needs to be remodeled ASAP. Looks like they never invest on it to keep it updated not to mention clean. The women locker is disgusting to say the least. There is a sign there claiming they close the W locker 12:30-1:30am for cleaning purposes. If they really do that. They have to hire somebody that really knows the cleaning basics, because no matter what time you go, the floor is disgustingly dirty, the showers glasses habe been untouched for years, showers don't drain properly most of the times, light artifacts are broken and royally deteriorated. They disrespect their members although every year the membership is increased. The swimming pool area is the same, the water sometimes when you swim you can see dirty things floating. Water temperature is always too cold although members always ask too keep it lightly warm (body temperature ad it should be) and the spa is never hot enough. Miserable treatment to members. Its lockers and pool area installations are unsafe I terms of health. If I get a serious health, pulmonary problem, I'm going to sue it because it's obvious that they didn't fulfill minimum health and cleaning requirements.

This is a typical 24hour fitness. Usually crowded. Best time between noon and 2pm. It also has a 20m pool.

This is my favorite one in LA area. Very nice compared to Glendale's. Hollywood would be 2nd, then Pasadena.

This is the cleanest gym I have ever been to in life! The staff is super friendly and helpful. They are always having sales and everyone is always supportive. The only improvement that I can say is to update the showers and shorten the down time for the spa. Those of us who work graveyard appreciate the steam room being open at 3am.

Is a good place to work out. If the company would fix the broken equipment, I would give it a 5 star. The best thing is that you could workout anytime you want, just like the name says "24hrs"
