The best place ever, great staff and great community service
Has a nice selection of equipment. Only problem is that some of the more intense equipment (tire flipper, big cables, etc...)is only accessible if you have a trainer.
Lakewood Family YMCA is an excellent recreation center. Parking is convenient and the staff is friendly and helpful.
Both of my kids have taken swim classes here. This Y is generally clean. Like all pools the water has a strange and funny taste. Keep your mouths closed.
Great facility for the family. I have my kids enrolled in ballet and swim and have also used the service of a personal trainer there. They gym is on the smaller side but everything is clean and there isn't that intimidating gym vibe you sometimes get in other places. My trainer was Brent and he is awesome. He primarily uses your own body weight for conditioning and it's very helpful in teaching you how to do your exercised the correct way. They also have spring and summer camps (and any other day the school is closed and you have to work) for the kids. The spring camp and school holiday daycare is basic with a few field trips but I have no complaint and they are safe. Still I wished they had more themed camps like STEM but maybe I'm just a nerdy parent.
YMCA is the a great place to work out me and my family workout 3 times a week there and use the pool more often than that the people are wonderful very nice they have good trainers and they're all knowledgeable in their fields
Nice facility. My main issue with this Y is that they did not join the nation wide program so if you travel, you do not have access to ANY other YMCA. Total bummer. But if you only use the same gym this place is very nice. They just upgraded the facility. Its a bit small and more expensive than the others but very nice.

could be such a nice place, but badly managed :( The floor in the men's locker room is always so dirty! I see the cleaning lady walking around to empty trash, but never saw her cleaning the floor during the day, I will try to capture a photo next time to show how bad it is. The POOL many times members can't use it because its all assigned to Swim Team or Lessons.. I saw 2 kids that did not even swim, but the lifeguard assigned 4 full lanes to them :( Please use more common sense! Leave at least 1 lane open during the summer so paying members can get into the water ! I don't feel like paying $43 a month to only be able to use the pool sometimes !

Came in to set my kids up for summer camp. Everyone was so nice. There was plenty of employees so i didn't wait long. They have excellent programs and activities for kids and grown ups. The pool looked sparkling. The members looked happy to be there. Not a sad face in sight. My kids start Monday.

I love coming to the gym here because the staff is very nice and it is very clean. You do not get the feeling of being judged like at other gyms. The only downside is that they do not have that many evening group exercise classes. I love the Les Mills Classes with Sharon they are always intense and fun. All the instructors are always very helpful and motivating.

The park across the street is great and the YMCA has amazing staff, excellent facilities and a perfect pool!

Went for Yoga.. and just love how it's such a community gathering.. upgraded not too long ago.. it is modern and clean..
