Don't use the pool , jacuzzi or steamer just those picture talks by itself. More better cleaning more that ever. People can get sick.
Parking is always full no matter what time of day. Place is always packes boatter what time of day. Reatrooms can be cleaner and staff could be friendlier.
Nothing fancy. It does the job of being an all around gym--you can lift weights, do cardio, take classes, play ball, swim, plus the benefits of having a steam room and sauna. Shower area and locker room are not shiny clean, but not outright gross and messy. No-frills gym that does the job.
Just take note of peak hours if you do not like waiting for your turn as the gym can get packed.
The staff are friendly and helpful. Aside from the usual nods and smiles from people you see regularly, people usually mind their own business which is perfect for self-conscious guys like me.
This gym is great, friendly, great spot for a great workout. And most of all, they are open 24hrs which works great for my schedule.

They got into my locked locker on August-03, took the wallet and spend like crazy on credit cards. If you use gym lockers, be aware of theft.

My locker was breaking in on August-3 during day use. I lost my wallet with DL and credit cards. Credit cards were unauthorized used like crazy.
Incident was to report to front desk and Hayward PD, but it does not seem like they care. So if you use the locker, be aware.
**THIS SHOULD BE ONLY 1 STAR, because i know lot of people are looking for 5 star comment and that is how all those positive review got people's attention and i never write comment on Google review, but i need to tell this to other people before they go in there** Just be aware of if you have a 2 years All-Club membership from Costco because they didn't show THIS IS A SUPER-SPORT-CLUB on Google Map review and once you get in, they will try to convince you upgrade to Super-Sport and here is my story. One of the front desk which i don't remember his name because that was my first time going there and i only saw him once, he told me that I could use my rest of my credit to upgrade to Super-Sport, but he DIDN'T told me those credit are actually the rest of my money that i bought from Costco and upgrade to Super-Sport without paying anything for 2 months and I can cancel after it so i can get a new 2 years membership from Costco. He also told me i can get another normal All-Club 2 years membership from Costco again, but he DIDN'T told me that I used rest of my 10 months All-Club membership exchanged just ONLY for 2 months of Super-Sport. I am not sure if i had misunderstood because English is not my first language or i feel like i got scam by that guy, or he might have employee credit by successfully helping people upgrade their membership AND that is just only my guesses. Hope this comment will help other people understand what is going on with their upgrade membership thing if you ALREADY have a 2 years All-Club membership.

I had my wallet stolen from the gym.. the lock was cut and the people went through everything and started charging on the card soon after.. It seems there are pro's who target people.. Good Luck to anyone who uses the lockers. The front desk seemed to act like this is a normal thing and so did the local Hayward police.

This gym is one of the nicer 24 hr fitness supersports in the area. Great pool, sauna, and hot tub area. It's always crowded, but I manage to get my workouts done. There are some issues you can expect with a gym membership at 24 though...
People here often workout in jeans and street clothes and basically disrespect the gym. You will notice them chatting with a group or stuck to their phone while you wait for them to "finish" with the machine you need. There are backpacks and bags everywhere, so expect to trip over a Hello Kitty backpack and die while carrying a plate.
There is a basketball court, but don't be surprised when someone starts loudly dribbling a basketball next to you at the squat rack and "mr handles" loses the ball so it rolls into your leg mid squat. Count on there being a dude in sneakers and jeans who will walk into the sauna and stand under the "swimsuit area only sign" like it doesn't exist while you retch from his axe body spray.
It's almost comical how badly people overload machines, do the exercise horrificly wrong, and then walk away without re-racking so the next person has to 20 plates.
DIRTY. DISGUSTING SHOWERS. HAND WASHING AREA ,MENS, REEKS OF SEWER. IT HAS FOR A VERY LONG TIME. MANAGEMENT DOES NOTHING ABOUT IT.
My home away from home! Take the U-Jam classes for free and learn how to dance while you lose weight at the same time! Anyone can do this even if you say that you have two left feet! It's cheapest to buy a membership through Costco but they have the 3 or 7 free day passes at all of the sales desks if you just ask. U-Jam!!!!

Very friendly staff..has got good equipment..love working out here...definitely one of the best clubs around here
Ok, this place is looking dirty, all the equipment is banged up, mats are old, and this is suppose to be a "Super Sport", c'mon! Where's my monthly dues going?
24 hour fitness has such an opportunity to be really really good, but they blow it. Why would a company with this much potential and owning the market in the bay area be so out of touch with their customers and the individual gyms. I can guarantee you that 24 hour management never ever visits their own gyms. If they did they would go join another gym. I have been to a lot of 24 hour finesses around the country. With very very few exceptions these gyms are disgustingly filthy, majority of the equipment is broken, showers and changing rooms are just scary, broken toilets, locker doors falling off hinges, broken sinks. I don't know why but bay area gyms are bottom of the barrel. Anyway, 3 stars for the 24 hour fitness on Whipple, they actually try to do a good job and I appreciate it
This gym is one of the nicer 24 hr fitness supersports in the area. Great pool, sauna, and hot tub area. It's always crowded, but I manage to get my workouts done. There are some issues that still remain, mostly it boils down to the staff not ever enforcing any rules or standards.
When you let people workout in jeans and street clothes they disrespect the gym. There are backpacks and bags littering the entire space. Its annoying and dangerous to have to step over a giant backpack every time I change a plate, because the owner is too lazy to use a locker. So yeah, great facilities, but count on there being a dude in sneakers and jeans who will walk into the sauna and stand under the "swimsuit area only sign" like it doesn't exist... It's a 24, and they don't regulate anything and people DGAF.
Not a bad gym considering it's a 24, but better get there by 5am if you want to easily find parking
Gym is messy. Never been to a gym like this where there is so many unfit people. Very un motivating plus if u do have a nice body everyone is staring unbelievably! I think it must be a bay thing because it's so cold here. I moved from a hot beach town and everyone was fit. The sauna smells of arm pit. I don't think many people wear deodorant at this location it might be a culture thing but my nose isn't used to it. I even tried not wearing it but apparently no smell comes out even after sweating so I still smell everyone. My boyfriend finally stopped paying for me to go after 2 months of me banning this place. And watch out for thieves they broke into cars and lockers 2x while we went. No thank you.
Great gym to go work out at. Near my house. Classes have good instructors. Plenty of cardio machines. Locker room and wet areas are mostly clean and usable. Although I am mostly there non-peak hours. Parking can be a challenge during peak or weekends. If you're attending a class during peak remember to give yourself a lot of time or you'll just end up frustrated. Also be extra cautious of your belongings in the locker room. There have been incidents where people got their locks cut and things taken. Just don't bring valuables.

This is the best 24 hour in the area! I've tried a bunch of the others and none of them are as clean or well kept as Whipple. Also, Lauren is a fantastic trainer and has really helped keep my wife motivated!
GREAT gym. The floor is continuously swept and mopped. I mostly swim for workouts and the pool is Great! Good temp, clean and well stocked with swim equipment. The showers are AMAZING. staff was helpful and friendly.
Gym is a mess, I don't have a "super sport" membership so why would I pay more to come workout in this gym. It's just as messy as all the other 24 hour fitness I've worked out at. Dumbbells are all out of order. People leave plates on every machine. The staff doesn't do rounds to clean up. Not enough clips for the barbells making it an unsafe environment to workout.
Staff is rude. Andre (sales manager) was very rude. I don't plan on coming back here again. 1 star.
Great facility but falls short of my expectation of a super sport location. Small. Minimal machines and weights. Packed with people at 10:30 pm. My Sport Club in So Cal is better. They can keep the free towels and artificial turf, no need to upgrade.
Its expensive but i like all the services they provide. Interesting thing is they only play American songs but the crowd is Americans Asians Mexicans Indians African Americans and the list go on on on .......... Guys you need play music with everyones likes and dislikes.......:)
I don't carry my own music/headphones I always want to be part of a crowd with similar interests ( fitness)
Great water aerobics class on Monday morning @ 9:00 , Thursday evening @ 6:15 and Saturday morning @ 9:00, however I wish they would add two of those classes to the weekly schedule.

Awesome place to workout. They have all the things you need.
