Love this place the staff and members are very friendly it's like one big family.
I have been a member for alittle less than a year. I have seen the place decline at a steady pace. It's upsetting not to be able to use the services you pay for. The jacuzzis have been working intermittently for the last several months. They generally are not hot as would be expected of jacuzzi. The indoor pool is freezing most days. Towels are a forever issue..they are rarely available and I am concerned about how clean they are. The facility is not very clean. I have stayed because I have made friends there. The staff are friendly and pleasant but for the money I expect the equipment to be maintained properly and in working condition. I have contacted the Corp. Office by phone the rep acted as if I created the problem. My emails to date have gone unanswered however, I was charged an annual fee and my payment gets deducted every month without issue. I would not recommend Inshape at this point. Today the swimming pool has been closed enough is enough I am calling to cancel first thing Monday.
The slow and steady decline of this gym continues. For over a month both hot tubs have not worked, the shower drains continuously backup so on and so fourth. I have attempted to contact the manager personally and they either are not at work of busy with something else. I have left roughly a dozen request both in person and by phone to be contact by the manager. As of this posting I have not heard work one back from them!!! I would think as a member I am at least due a return phone call from one of my many request!!!

I recently got my membership at this club, I selected this location because it is so close to my house. I am disappointed in the cleanliness of the locker room, specifically the showers. I noticed slime and scum and the bottom of the shower walls. It appears the showers are cleaned and sanitized daily. This is a concern because of how much I pay for my membership. I have also called a couple of times with membership questions and have not been able to speak to someone. Even when leaving a message I did not get a call back. I had to call back and try to get a hold of someone one or two days later. This weekend my husband and I went to the pool and had a bad experience. I learned the pool equipment, weights and noodles are for the classes only and I would need to bring my own. Second, there was a man blowing his nose in the pool, I was grossed out so we decided to got to the outdoor pool. The outdoor pool was dirty and it appears staff do not go out and clean it periodically. There was tree poop, bugs and dirt in there. I am not happy with this club. I may check out the Suisun location to see if its any better. I have cancelled my membership. I will continue to go here until October and taking the aqua classes. I go to Aqua at 10:30 with Karen and I love it.

Nice place but they sold my personal info ! I'm from the east coast visiting the area ...they made me fill out a "liability" form to go in as a guest (that had a bunch of marketing Qs ...with no opt out ) now I get all kinds of spam calls from Cali marketing COs ...thanks a lot In-shape ...that's all I needed

Great gym, 2 pools, one indoor and one outdoor. 2 hot tubs, 9ne indoor and a large one out doors. Plenty of exercize machines, a TRX section. There is one area for circuit training, a back room for the heavy lifters. Variety, thats for sure. Aweso e staff, welcoming, friendly and helpful. I wish they had more private dressing rooms, only one in the ladies area. But several bathrooms and showers. The saunas and steam rooms are in the dressing rooms so no men in the ladies sauna and visaversa

Indoor pool & hot tub are not clean. Hair balls & grit in the pool. I asked one employee to remove hair ball that has been there a week. Still there! Hot tub stairs & sides are scummy looking. Needs a good scrub! Employee dumps a white powdery in the pool while people are swimming????

The fun of being an In Shape member is just because one may not have something working ...you are always welcome to go to another...and there is always another gym nearby to get your workout in. ..and they have courteous staff as well.
Dover is a very dirty gym. Women's locker room sauna and streamroom. The swimming pools are very dirty. Don't get any where with management.we wish corrupt would do something. People are falling and getting hurt because of the slime from stream and sauna rooms. People are bringing scrubbing pads to clean pool. Maybe it's time to come check out are gym!
The only reason I joined this gym is to swim laps. Travis AFB has a seasonal pool, other wise I wouldn't have joined In-Shape. My main concern seems to be the lack of concern for members that come to swim laps. The water aerobics classes(inside pool) take up one lane, which only leaves two for lap swimming. The other day, a swimming instructor took another lap lane which left only one lane for swimmers. The outside pool is open, but during the winter months it can be quite frigid. Swimmers are at the mercy of the water aerobics instructors, if they decide they want to go to the outside pool on a nice day, you'll have to interrupt your exercise to make room for them, because they will take the entire pool. This in grossly unfair and should be addressed ASAP! Some possible solutions would be to set limits on minimum class participation numbers before lanes are taken down. In other words, if only 5 people show up for water aerobics, no lap lanes should be taken down. All swimming instruction should be conducted in the area adjacent to the lap swimming lanes. Dates should be set on when water aerobics instructors can use the outside pool, and one lane should be left open for lap swimming always!
The In-Shape on Dover in Fairfield is one of the best ones to visit. With swimming pool, tennis courts, sauna, steam room and spas it is far better than any other facility in this city. I would highly recommend this to everyone.
Real sad shit owner to have this type of bullshit business . I have been a member for awhile. I used the steam and sauna rooms a lot. I have found out that some members leff and hung their boxers, briefs and underwears in sauna room. They used this room to dry their personal items. This is nasty and unhealthy for other educated and open minded members. I will file a complaint to the health department for this type of incidents if the management will not take any actions to fix this issue. I already file the incident report on 7/22/2017 for this nastiness with David E who is the manager of the club. And I will contact the Inshape the compliance department on this Monday to file a complaint with their company.
Great value for a gym. Get the multi gym pass and there are 6 others within 20 miles that offer different things
Clean environment friendly staff and cool people. I bring my kid with me mostly every day.
Canceled membership over a year ago and they are still robbing the account. They are criminals and should be treated as such. More to come.
Recently there have been several concerns which I have discussed with management to no avail. Between May 12-30, 2017 the indoor/outdoor pools were closed on two separate occasions due to feces(poop) in the pool. With warmer weather upon us, staff should periodically check indoor/outdoor pools ensuring posted rules and etiquette are followed immediately addressing concerns/violations. When I discussed concerns with management and suggested possible procedural implementations, I was told there is no money in the budget. Having staff periodically monitor indoor/outdoor pool is a must anything less is negligent.
