Bliss Yoga has given me universal awareness, the decipline of balance and the healing breath of love. A valuable resource for overall growth and wellness, I highly recommend.
Lorraine is a wonderful yoga teacher! I've been studying and practicing yoga for over 30 years, and she's one of the best teachers I've ever taken a class with. I'm definitely planning on returning! It was obvious she knew what she was doing. She was able to "hold space" for the students in an unobtrusive way, and yet she was clearly "leading" the class. She was calm and focused, and explained each of the poses very clearly. Something else she did that I really enjoyed, was that she spoke to the physical benefits of each of the poses - that is, which organs they worked on, and in what beneficial way.
Another plus for me (having scent sensitivities) was what WASN'T part of the class - there were no essential oils! This was just a pure, unadulterated yoga class. (Even the students showed up without perfume or cologne on.) It seems in the Western world, people have taken yoga and attempted to do all kinds of fancy things with it; sprinkling essential oils in the class, burning incense or scented candles, and so forth. Given one of the most important aspects of yoga practice is deep breathing, it makes no sense to be utilizing products in the room that interfere with one's ability to breathe! Lorraine knows this, and her class is sensible in this respect. She has a lovely presence in her class and the soothing environment she created was palpable. I left feeling energized & uplifted, yet incredibly calm.
