When I was in my 20s, I could skip a couple meals, run a few miles and drop weight like nothing. Now that I'm in my mid-30s, it is A LOT more work. Life stresses took a toll and often wine won over working out to cope. OK, let's be real - wine always won over working out! Well, seven months ago I was the heaviest, most unhealthy version of myself... and I hated it.
It took feeling that bad for me to make the decision to invest in my health and change my habits, and that first step was contacting Katie at Studio Flex. Best decision ever!! Katie has been a HUGE part of my fitness journey and I am so grateful to be able to work with her. I've learned so much and always look forward to my training sessions with her. I appreciate how she always mixes things up to keep the workouts interesting and her nice way of encouraging me to push harder. My workouts with Katie have also helped me build confidence to feel comfortable working out with friends, and I can honestly say I now crave working out instead of dreading it!
As a quick glimpse into the progress I've made with Katie - At my consultation in June 2016, I was 33.2% body fat and in the "obese" category. Yikes! Fast forward to today (Jan 2017) and I am now the healthiest and strongest I've ever been; down 7.9% body fat at 25.3% (only 1% away from the 'fitness' category) and comfortably fitting in all of my clothes again.
