I am a girl competitive soccer player and in the past four years I have made my way through two ACL tears. For the second one I rehabbed at proactive physical therapy, which by he way is right next door to Activ8, and made a smooth transition over to Activ8 to get back into performance training to play soccer at least one more year. I remember I had gone to Activ8 a few years before to keep my body active when on off season from soccer, but after my injury my mom talked to TJ who she learned had experienced a torn ACL as well so we immediately had something to talk about as we trained along. Now I had already gone through rehabbing my first knee two years before at a different place, so I knew what to expect, but I was so surprised when I went to train at Activ8 and it was less intimidating, less stressful, and more Informative than the first time around. I talk to all the coaches about life and going into college, instead of just solely getting my exercises done. There is a bond, that I normally have a hard time creating from being shy, that Activ8 has helped me develop.
In addition, Activ8 is super accommodating and flexible, especially for a high school athletes that can just text TJ when they need to change the time of their appointment. Also I can just come in and exercise on my own once a week if I want. Plus, I have gotten the chance to work with every trainer there and every single one is amazing, dedicated, and cooperative.
I am doing real well now with both of my knees and get a good workout in once every week. I finished high school season with Activ8 keeping my legs strong so no more injuries here. For the time I have been here I have loved it and it has been beneficial.
And so I feel like this is no longer a review, but honestly a thank you to Activ8 and it's trainers for everything they have done!
