Go to this studio. This is one of my favorite places to practice power yoga. Here's why:
Environment
Walk in through the front door and you'll get a feel for the place. There's a gentle flower smell (instead of sweaty mats), plenty of natural light, and an overall friendly yet real work staff (no fake smiles here). Basically is smells good, looks good and feels good when you walk in. You'll wish the place was your family room.
Teachers
Excellent instruction. Some of the best teachers in the Bay Area. Each one is unique in their teaching style. Sometimes you get flowing, breath to movement classes, other times you'll hold poses for several minutes working on calming the mind. In any case, the teachers are there for the students and every class is approachable for beginners to advanced yogis.
Some of my favorites include: Naushon, Megan, Tali, Mary (the owner), Mikaela, and Julie.
Community
The people are fun, warm, and care about their fellow yogis. It's a great local spot for the neighborhood, attracting students, mothers, athletes, and newbies.
Come check it out. I love this place. Thanks Green Yogi
