Great place for working out, has all the equipment, a pool, and a gym for hoops
Decent gym , mostly newer equipment which isn't the best compared to the older hammer strength, or nautilus etc . Hopefully they won't cut hours like they are doing to a lot of the 24s Their 24 hour access is a big selling point ..
I've been to a majority of the 24's in SF, East Bay, and a half a dozen outside the area... this one is one of the newer ones and it shows. 24 is not intended to be a luxury gym, but this one has a lap pool, sauna, spa, steam, cycle room, etc; solid amenities to serve the purpose of making your body work. If it was more tidy, made repairs faster (especially the swim suit spinner), and had a towel service it'd be a 5 in my book.
As far as pricing - you get locked in for life, so while you can get a better deal short-term you can bet it'll go up, likely isn't open 24 hours, and with so many locations it's pretty nice if you're out in another metro, or want to wait out traffic.
Don't be fooled by other bad reviews - you can get your sweat on here. Take a tour and decide for yourself.
Somerville is absolutely great...equipment new, facility clean, classes daily and a friendly staff...InShape filty , pool never serviced, District Manager Cameron staff jailbirds, lockers broken in daily... cars stoken on a weekly basis...LOUSY PERSONAL TRAINERS...CAMERON hires men that are built and workout as fitness trainers THAT NEVER WORKED OUT AT THE FACILITY, and the training is basis...same workouts FOR ALL CLIENTS...YES. 24 FITNESS IS THE WAY TO GO...also ANYTIME FITNESS BRENTWOOD

Be sure to pay attention to the times for swim classes if swimming is your intention, and consider using a personal trainer if you need some help. Lots of nice people.

Always open clean, not crowded, offers many classes
I agree with the previous reviews I have been a member for a year and the front desk girls are so unprofessional. Most of them are just to flirt with the members. When you need help they are just talking to themselves or texting. Don't come to this gym.

Nice place to do workout!!
This place has moved same location where the old gottschalk used to be. Good place to work out.
Nice gym but unpleasant staff. They seem more interested in talking to each other than helping or greeting members. I hope management checks this as it seems this is a common theme among the reviews!
New facility that is actually maintained. Equipment is new and alot of space to train.
If I can give these guys 0 stars of would. I'm a member holder and wanted my brother to try the facility. He just moved in the area and the sales person did not even bother helping us. Poor customer service.
Super Sport with no towels?? How can you provide a pool, hot tub, steamroom, and sauna yet somehow neglect to hook us up with a basic towel? You guys must run into problems being that dumb right?
I hope you run into problems. You deserve problems. I'll stick to Walnut Creek thanks.
As both the other two reviews before me also said, this is not a real "super sport" tier club. It's big and spacious and comfortable square-footage-wise, but it's small in the sense of... let me put it the only way I know how:
I'm an 8 year member of the old, regular "sport" level club that was a couple hundred feet away, that is now closed because of this club. The old club was like 3-4x smaller than the new gym, but had at least 2x almost 3x the number of equipment - cardio, weightstack, plateloaded -- everything (with there not even being equivalent machines/exercises for a lot at the new club). Even the shop was downsized by half.
You can argue it is acceptable to downsize the equipment if you're getting better stuff, but downsizing so extremely and charging 3x more $? No way, no how. This is not a Super Sport. This is gravely worse than the old "Sport". I've been to one other 24h, Sport also, in a different state years ago on vacation, and it seemed like a Super Sport compared to the old/now closed Sport, yet it was a Sport and this new Super Sport has 2-3x less equipment than the super small "Sport" it replaced yet is a "Super Sport".
The new machines might be cool (another reviewer likes the line). Personally, however, I CANNOT use them (physical disability), so now am completely out-in-the-wind entirely for a gym. Objectively, due to the severely limited number, I cannot even fathom how that will work during peak times (on the brightside, I'll never have to deal with it).I can guarantee you, however, having so few machines and no repeats for body parts whatsoever, you are going to be spending 50% of your time there doing nothing but waiting (waiting was a frequent occurrence already with almost all machines having at least 1 repeat, at the old gym)..
So... how is the gym 3-4x as big, yet 2-3x smaller in terms of equip? Bigger bball court, bigger pool/wet area, and two gigantic rooms reserved for classes (really? there needs to be 2? and they both have to be so big, and empty and without a use, when there isn't a class?).
To summarize: Not a true "Super Sport". Horrible decision to replace the old with this - even if it was the same cost. Not worth in any way, any way, any way the membership cost. Personally, the cost is irrelevant to me as my contract has been grandfathered into the new club for its remainder, but I'm saying objectively, this gym is NOWHERE worth the cost - go elsewhere.
