Went for a rowing class through class pass and loved it. The coach was so friendly and willing to walk our class of newbies through everything. Definitely a welcoming atmosphere and a gym that puts people first workout the ego

I recently celebrated my one-year anniversary at The Protocol S&C and I am still as excited and as honored to be at every class as I was on day one.
As an avid rock climber looking for a safe and sustainable way to get stronger and maintain my mobility Jerry Trubman and his team came HIGHLY recommended to me. I am consistently challenged and I learn something at every single class. The small group setting is a huge benefit for me as you have the opportunity for extremely talented individualized coaching without the cost that comes with 1:1 training.
I have remained completely injury-free in my time at The Protocol (which is not the case for many rock climbers) and have met a number of my personal strength, fitness and climbing goals.
Jerry & his team of coaches are as committed to your strength and fitness as goals as you are and this is not the standard I have experienced in this industry. Everything that Jerry had helped me plan out and work towards has worked and I have 100% faith in his programming and curriculum.
The Protocol is an extension of my family and I will be here for many years to come. Thank you Jerry, Marie, Gustavo, Matt and Linda. You are all awesome and it is an absolute honour to work with you.

Jerry and his team are solid. Many gyms do group training but the Protocol focuses a small group training rather than trying to stuff 30 people in a class with a cheerleader. As a local gym owner myself I appreciate what the Protocol brings to the fitness scene in Tucson. While everyone is going bigger, Jerry has continued to focus on quality with his system and not buying into the newest fads and trends.

I started training at the Protocol 9 months ago. At my very first one on one with Jerry I realized this is the place for me. Jerry's vision as to what fitness should be about is cutting edge and heavily focused on body health and longevity. His ability to simplify what the strongest people on this planet do is unparalleled. If you are looking for a gym where the instructors care about you and are committed to getting you the result you want, this is the place for you. Because I was so inspired by the dedication Jerry has for his gym and his students I have gone from student to instructor at the Protocol and share the same drive to get our students to where they want to be. Truly a life changing gym. It was for me and if you are dedicated to make a change in your life it will be for you too.

This is a great gym. As a Physical therapist who works with loads of athletes I look for certain things in coaches. Jerry is focused on overall health and listens to my advice and direction. I trust his services and recommend them without hesitation.

After many years of a sedentary lifestyle I needed to make lifestyle changes. I tried multiple times starting new workout routines (at the "big box" gyms) but ultimately failed due to my own lack of commitment. I needed a facility that offered personal training and small group classes to keep me accountable. I found The Protocol and 8 months later I have never looked back. Jerry and his team are top notch!! The initial personal training sessions, you are personally assessed in multiple areas and they develop a personal program based on your current level of fitness, mobility, etc. I started out slowly with a conservative program. Continually during your time at The Protocol, you are reassessed and appropriate changes are made based on your new level of fitness, mobility, strength, etc. This allowed me to progress from "couch potato" to the best shape of my life in 8 months without any hint of an injury! I am the strongest, most mobile and cardiovascularly fit I have ever been in my entire life. I look forward to my classes/workouts and hate when I have to miss one. The small group training classes are awesome at keeping me motivated and accountable. You develop relationships with others in your class that I attribute to holding me accountable and my success. Don't expect results without a dedicated effort from yourself. Everybody always "has to do the work themselves" to get results but Jerry and his team provided the framework for me to succeed. The Protocol has a client for life!!

I started as a student that had a desire to get stronger and move better. After some time in the system I was inspired to become an instructor myself! I've loved pushing our students to become better versions of themselves!

I was, recovering from back surgery of a ruptured disc. It didn't take long for me to become discouraged and quit. So over the years I reached a point of not being able to go grocery shopping because my stamina and mobility were nearly nil.

I started working with my personal trainer at Protocol about 9 months ago. My mobility has improved 100 fold and my stamina has improved as well. My trainer actually listens to my concerns and works with me within my capabilities and at the same time pushing me to do just a little more. Although weight loss is not my focus in have lost some weight which is a wonderful bonus.

Working out at Protocol with my personal trainer is one of the smartest and best decisions I have made in my adult life.

The Protocol is the ONLY place I'll train when I'm in town, as I feel like the team here is top-notch. Although he tends to downplay it, Jerry is one of the smartest coaches around, and as a lifelong athlete at the age of 45, I have met a ton of coaches. His wife Marie is a total surprise, as she's sweet, professional, and really on her physical therapy game, but she's actually also an accomplished powerlifter and kettlebell instructor, too. And Matt is one of those really good guys who also happens to be an incredible educator and coach. These are 5 fully earned stars.

I recently moved and was looking for a gym close to my new place and stumbled upon The Protocol - I met with Jerry within a week - and knew that it was just the kind of place I was looking for. It's small in the sense that you know everybody who is in the gym when you are there and you get a tremendous amount of personal attention including advice specific to your needs. I'm a terrible self-motivator so the small group set-up there is perfect for me and much less expensive than having a personal trainer twice a week.

I've been working an office job for years now and have seen my body suffer for it. I've also had various big box gym memberships throughout the years but never really derived much benefit from them. In fact, I didn't like going to the gym, I would have rather gone on a hike or run. But being a fairly new father, I decided that investing in my health early before things got really bad was important. Because of this I signed up to the Protocol a little over a year ago and I'm glad I did.

The first couple months were very difficult and a telling sign to just how unfit I had become. Jerry and Matt were great at identifying my unique trouble areas and giving me just the right cues and levels of intensity to get me back on track. After about six months of guidance and hard work my body began "lining up." Things fell into place and I witnessed a big surge in strength and mobility in the months that followed. My posture improved, I lost weight despite increasing muscle mass, and even my cholesterol levels returned to normal without medication. In all I felt much better.

The group classes are small, no more than six people per class, so the trainers really focus on the members and give quality instruction. There is no waiting for equipment to become available and the place does not smell like a gym - it's actually kept very clean!

This isn't a gym where you haphazardly pump iron all day. This is very focused, intelligent training. The Protocol is not the cheapest place in town but it delivers a quality fitness program that will yield quality results. Overall I'm very happy with this place.

As a Chiropractor I really appreciate the balance of mobility and strength taught at the Protocol. You can truly gain strength here without sacrificing your mobility or the long term health of your joints. Proper exercise is a key factor in good health and The Protocol is exactly what you need if you want to stay strong and agile for life. I love that after being at The Protocol for over 3 years I continue to increase in my strength and personal records. Thank you Protocol for being part of my health team!

I have been working out with Jerry and The Protocol since June 2014. We are continually challenged to improve, I have left every class knowing that I was better than I walked in. Never boring, always learning, and always safe in any exercise with excellent instruction. Even though I've now moved away, I'm continuing as a Protocoller through on-line coaching because The Protocol has become part of my identity, knowing I'm stronger and more capable through my training here.

Jerry and his team at The Protocol are thorough, meticulous and dedicated to help people achieve great results. But not only that, they do it in a fun, entertaining environment that has this family feel to it. Can't recommend enough. Best service in Tucson!

The Protocol forges everyday humans into world class performers. I wouldn't have a problem sending any family members there, because I know they'd be in safe hands.

Jerry Trubman (owner) has the attention to detail similar to that of a Royal Marines Sergeant Major. As part of my job within the fitness industry I've had an insight into the daily operations of numerous facilities around the globe and The Protocol runs a truly world class operation.
