~~Good range of equipment, always clean, lots of classes~~
EDIT: HOT SMELLY ZUMBA IS NOT A NEW CRAZE ANYONE WANTS!
I am a member for 2.5 years now, and based on the past month plus, I'm left to speculate one of two things
1. They honestly don't care about getting members or retain the ones they have.
2. They can no longer afford critical maintenance.
Over 5 WEEK AGO the air conditioning broke in the main aerobics room where most classes are held. 2 wks in they vented some ducts from the ceiling that blow into the room, but they are not effective and you have to stand in front of them.
It is easily 80 degrees in there... my inaccurate phone guesses 86. It's 100 degrees outside and climbing....
This is not a fun or safe environment for the hand weight classes, high intensity classes etc that are held in this room.
And now it's starting to smell..like stale body odor and humdity. Guess why....
A lot of people have complained but they are doing nothing. I'd have to assume future maintenance will be similarly prioritized. That's really dangerous in a gym where maintenance on equipment can be a serious safety issue...no idea if this is a problem, but but if they can't fix AC for 5 wks and counting, I gotta wonder.
If anyone is considering this gym: beware.
I will tell anyone considering it to try one of the many other gyms in Tucson instead until they show they care to maintain the basic things that make it an acceptable place to workout.
