Have been going here for 6 months, and its great. I went from doing pretty much no physical activity, to being in shape, very fast. More than that, it really feels like a good and supportive community after you've been going for a couple months. The coaches give tips on how to improve, and people cheer each other on. Its pretty easy to make friends, given that classes are usually small and its often the same people coming every day at a given class time slot.
Very welcoming from the moment I walked in. The coaches/athletes were encouraging during the workouts. Fun environment to workout in.

Very friendly and not intimidating! Coaches are knowledgeable. Everyone encourages each other. I've been at Purg for 2+ years and can't imagine being at another box.

This gym has exactly what you need and more! The owners are welcoming and knowledgeable. You can come in at any level to learn and continue to challenge yourself. Purgatory stands out from other crossfit gyms with their strength training program and yoga classes. Everything was clean, plenty of open space, and organized including bathrooms with showers. You will not find a better gym in Tucson!

Amazing coaching staff, great environment and kickass community. Came in over a year ago and t'was love at first WOD. The gym can be intimidating at first, but there are plenty of incredibly coaches and friendly fellow purgees to get you through the toughest of days. Have test-driven several other gyms in the Tucson area, but none can hold a power clean to this one.

My wife and I started at this gym 7yrs ago and when I walked through the doors I know there was something different about this place. It is a great community of wonderful people and fantastic, top notch coaches. Anyone looking for a good place to drop in or call their home gym Purgatory is the one!

When I entered this gym almost 5 years ago, I didn't know how much it would change my physical appearance as well as my life (seriously, I met my husband here). The gym has always been community-focused with amazing trainers who care about you and your safety. I've been to other CF gyms where the owners appeared bored and had dangerous programming - this is not the case at all. While the programming is challenging, it's for a reason - to make you harder to kill
This is the best box around with the most dedicated owners you will find, no joke. I've unfortunately moved away but still miss this box everyday - the community, the owners, the coaches, the people; this is what sets Purg apart from the rest.

I have dropped in a few times to this gym over the years and the athletes and coaches are super friendly. The facility is newer and well maintained. Thanks for hosting! I will be back for sure!
