Apex is by far one of the best if not the best gym for martial arts in AZ. Coach Joey Rivera goes above and beyond for his students. Apex is the home to a lot of top notch athletes. Highly recommend to anyone who is looking to better themselves in a very positive way.
The first conversation I had with Joey (owner) was over the phone. We spoke in-depth of what I was looking for and what he could do to help me find my own way to reach my goals. After our conversation I was at the gym the next day and became a member and have not looked back. The trainers here are wonderful. I have yet to meet anyone at Apex that is less than 110% on your side!! I am a 53 year old woman that because of past traumas have suffered from PTSD and extreame anxiety. Doctors have put me on so many meds I needed them to sleep I needed them to wake up I needed them to get through my days. It is a relentless cycle. Since joining Apex I no longer need medications. My self esteem is climbing everyday. I feel good about my life I feel good about keeping my goals. I am no longer just existing. I am a part of something that is turning my life around as I'm sure it does for everyone there. I cannot end this without saying how inspired I am by all the people that take these classes!!! It is truly amazing to see the transformations!!

I had the opportunity of training at Apex for a couple of days while visiting some family in Tucson. Joey was extremely inviting upon walk-in and invited me to participate in the Kickboxing session. The classes were physically challenging and well-rounded in skill development for athletes of all levels. The facilities was also in good condition. Most importantly, the environment was friendly and everyone training maintained a positive competitive spirit. I highly recommend this gym for anyone looking to train in the Area.

As a team member of APEX, they really do teach you the necessary skills for self defense, or willing to compete in the ring such as Muay Thai, Kick boxing, Boxing, and MMA. They also have a kids class, yoga, and Jiu Jitsu. It all depends on you, honestly.
The staff there know what they're doing, and in reality before they become what they are today they went through training, perseverance, and self control. Now it's our turn to make this experience happen and it starts with you.

Did one trial class and signed up for a membership before I left the building. You can learn to fight for sport, for self defense, for fitness, whatever it is they do it all.
Apex MMA in Tucson Arizona is awesome! You will become part of the Apex family when you train here. They have several programs ongoing and something for everyone in the family.
My son did the kids program for a year and loved it. After a while of watching my son training I was motivated to begin. I did several months of grappling, striking and personal training. I literally lost 60lbs and got in the best shape of my life. It's hard work, but super fun to be in a gym training with such talented fighters and coaches. It's a memory my son and I share we will never forget. Thank you Joey and Nichole and all the coaches for teaching and guiding us clearly and patiently as we trained. We only stopped do to moving to Florida for business, but can't wait to come back and visit! If your on the fence about training because you're not familiar with the process or you have a child that could use a great challenge please don't hesitate. Go down to the gym and talk to someone at the desk, get the schedules, try a class and DO IT! You will be so happy you did!
