Great basketball gym layout with several half courts and one full court. Good capacity restrooms, locker room. Don't care for the free weight or circuit training layout. It gets really packed, so check Google maps before you go if you don't want to be there when it's busy.
Used to love coming here. Loved the modifications with the functional fitness space. Sadly, I will be cancelling my membership due to the AM personal trainer.
I have seen him one-too-many times kicking people out of the training area and going as far as taking equipment from them.
I understand there are training-exclusive areas, but it's a bit of a power trip to kick people out when it's not affecting you or your client.
Sorry! Wish the modifications hadn't squeezed all the machines together and you hadn't made a person with no regard for your guests the guard for the new areas.
I have been a member with LA Fitness/now Esporta since 2001. I have never felt uncomfortable with going until recently. The PA system is so loud that I am not able to enjoy my music with my personal headphones. Others have made the same comment. I was told by management to contact corporate office to launch a complaint. I have not been able to do so. The number I got said they are not open and rudely disconnected me. I tried the gym on Elliot and Priest, same problem, music is too loud and the choice of music is horrible. Your are driving customers out. Why???

My Favorite LA Fitness! Love ALL of the Aqua Aerobics classes. Heated Pool is clean and bright, dressing/bathroom is also clean. Equipment works. Lots of great classes. Friendly front desk staff.
Unable to provide me detailed information for an account that my checking account was attached to. I received lackluster service. Would never opt to spend my money with LA Fitness again .
Overall - Great gym! First of all, I went into this location trying to find a feasible solution for my fiance' to join LA Fitness VS. EOS Fitness - Gold Plus Membership. I was consulted by 3 Fitness Sales Representatives, whom were great help and showed me data that they normally don't show the public. Through it all, they admitted that joining EOS Fitness was a better fit for my Fiance's lifestyle and because of that exceptional client satisfaction all of my referrals/leads will be transferred to this home gym. The gym yields spacious PT, cardio machines, basketball court, 4 lane swimming pool, and a variety of free weights. I admit that this gym gets crowded like any other gym during peak hours. However, I've never had to wait more than normal for machines, cables, or benches.

The worse gym, rude and disrespectful staff at the front desk specially the girl with Sundays morning crew. Very expensive membership for being insulted rather than welcomed, the broken equipments stay broken for days and days, dirty floors all the time.Happy to cancel my membership.
I like this gym, I've worked with several of the trainers and they all seem very knowledgeable. I'm working through a shoulder injury which has improved greatly since using the exercise routine they have showed me.the place is always clean and friendly staff I love the place no problems for me.

Love the staff and the atmosphere here. I just wish they have longer operating hours, and even just opening a little bit earlier.
Always clean, equipment is almost never broken or down for repair, and excluding directly after work on weekdays, it's almost never packed full.

I hope they consider opening earlier at least 6 AM, I lived in Mesa and Mesa River View La Fitness is 24/7!
EOS fitness has better customer service ; rate is cheaper; open hour is longer.
But i would give 4 stars for Zumba teacher on Monday morning.

The guy at the front desk guy said,
"OK, but if you get into the class , we will remove you from the class. "
I called back to complain the insensitive customer service.
Manager didn't want to listen; didn't apologize.
He cut me off and say,
"Yayaya, i heard about the incident.
You can't just take free classes, you need to pay. "
He was loud and with intensity, i don't think he heard me,
I have 5 days passes, what do you want me to pay now?
I did not like the way they handle customer feedback.

This LA FITNESS Chandler Dobson location offers "customer service from hell". I don't wish this experience upon anyone.
Love this gym. I can go to any gym in the country. My wife and I pay 45 a month for unlimited access. Well worth it.
Girl at the front desk is rude. Trainers are verbally inappropriate and pushy and treat you like your are stupid and then are shocked when they discover you actually have a brain. Putting two stars because I do like the gym itself.

Really good gym for the price. Lot of cardio machines - never found it difficult to find one even in peak hours. The free weights section though is almost always occupied but the machines are available most of the time. Nice staff, easy to work with even if you want to discontinue.

Not sure what happen over the last couple of months but it seems like this gym is "trying" to do better. When I started a year ago, the personally training was off limits according to Randy. I even witnessed him removing a member who was in a wheelchair out of the area. Even though it was clearly easily for him to access machine there. At one point it seemed as if Randy didn't work their anymore and everyone was welcome to training area. I noticed he's back and just stay away from the area while he's there. Not sure why he's so passionate about that area. Bottom line is this gym gets packed and if no one is using area it should be open to other members. Daycare girls are awesome!
I like coming to LA Fitness. the machines are easy-to-use and it's close to my house. I just wish it was not as crowded. I always have to wait for machines.
I was very impressed with the employees at this facility, I felt like they had my best interest in mind. The equipment was top notch and in good shape. The facility was cool and comfortable to work out in. I was also very impressed with Kyle Fuller, he is a very honest and reliable man. Far too often in this business you run into individuals that make hollow promises, not Kyle he will make every effort to fulfill and make sure you are satisfied. If you have the chance to speak to someone about a membership, I highly recommend you speak to Kyle Fuller. It's not very often that I am impressed with salesmen, but I appreciated Kyle's help so much my wife and I purchased him a gift certificate to Babbo's as a thank you.
In terms of basketball, not bad but a lot of petty guys play here. Gym facilities are nice and maintained.
Jacuzzi only rating / review:
1. Black stuff on the walls around the jacuzzi just above the water. Is it toxic black mold? Is anyone getting sick?
2. Lots of sand on the jacuzzi floor.
3. Weak jets -- almost no massage effect. Please fix or replace the water jet motors.
