Doing an amazing job and taking precautions to be re-open and keep everyone safe
Lifetime Fitness is a classy full service family fitness center! So many amenities; more than enough workout stations/equipment, indoor and outdoor pools, rock wall, steam sauna, basketball court, cafe, hair salon, childcare and massage services to name a few! This place is a bargain for what they offer! The staff is amazing as well! Worth a visit! Get a guest pass to check it out for yourself!
really nice facilities and good workout classes. lots of good and diverse equipment. overall a really good gym however it is directly reflected in the price so if you are not going to take full advantage of the facilities i would recommend you go to a cheaper gym.
We are new members. The gym is great, has all the bells and whistles needed for a family to have fun and exercise. The 2 hours of day care is amazing too! The lockers are the only pain in the neck. NONE of them work with the lifetime card provided. They need attention ASAP.
We paid $160 per month for our entire family. Several times now the infant room has been full when calling well in advance for appointments or the pool or waterslides are closed during open hours, etc, etc. Also have had to wait several times behind the muscle bound idiots for equipment. For the insane price of membership I expected a much better experience... using past tense here as I am now going elsewhere. It is a nice facility but for the price definitely not worth it.

I just moved to Gilbert from Ohio 5 weeks ago. My first order of business even before the moving truck arrived with our furniture was to find a replacement for our YMCA membership in Cleveland. Lifetime is literally around the corner from our new home, so it was our first stop. I was really really impressed with the facility right away. for only $25 more a month than what we paid in membership to the YMCA prior, we now have access to state of the art amenities that my family can enjoy. My 5 year old is really thriving in his free first month of swimming lessons, and we will definitely continue them as he advances through. My son adores the children's area too, and begs to go. He can each day for 2 hours, which is great for me! I used to have to bribe him to go to the kids area at our old YMCA!
The equipment here to my eye so far is high tech and in excellent repair. I am a double foot amputee, so gravitate to cycling and elliptical units. They have many different types of elliptical units with varying range of motions to try out which is a huge benefit to me and my bum knees.
There are tons of treadmills and stair climbers too if that's your thing! I enjoy spin classes, and noted they have great spin bikes, but they don't have as many classes available in the evenings as I would like since I work 8-5. In fact the group fitness schedule is a bit disappointing for me from a time perspective. not that many options on the evenings or weekends.
I took advantage of my free personal training appointment upon joining. The women I was matched with at first was NOT a good match for me. I felt she was very pushy and dismissive of some of my questions. She was really into pushing supplements though! Luckily, I got paired with Lynda for training after that who is amazing. I have had about 8 sessions with her since joining, and I really look forward to that hour with her. She really gets what my goals are, and challenges me to work towards them. Her background is great for my particular situation, which is so relieving for me.
I have seen other reviewers not caring for the TRX equipment apparently recently installed. I find it to be invaluable for my situation, and spend at least half of my workout using it. It is perhaps my favorite unique part of this gym. I also notice many others making use of it. The people I notice using it are of varied fitness levels too. It is great for novices and people who require adaptations as well as people who look like they are training to be the next American Ninja Warrior! In my case, not having feet, I cant do a proper push up on the floor, but on the TRX apparatus I can do one in the air. It really opens up many more possibilities for me.
Overall this is a great gym, and pretty good staff. As with any place not everyone is going to be on point for every one. But I think it is a great value and am so lucky to have it right in my backyard.
It's expensive compared to other facilities, but you definitely don't get all of the amenities at the other places. Employees have always been great. Facility seems clean. Trainers are very knowledgeable. Only complaint is that I wish the pools were open later. It isn't as busy in the later hours so my family and I could really benefit from that. Very cool place though.

Love, love, love Life Time! I've been a member for years. My only complaint is that there is not much variety in group fitness classes for those of us who work 8-5pm. All the interesting classes seem to be in the middle of the day. Seems like the class schedule may be geared toward those who stay at home. I used to go to another Life Time and loved the variety of classes, but that doesn't seem to be the case at this gym. Overall the gym is clean and they are great with kids. My whole family loves going.

Bad all around, from the manager to the clients. If you decide to use them, you don't have to give your card info to "save on file" though they will pressure you to. The upstairs workout area is constantly dirty and during summer they have AC issues every year, it's hot and muggy. Another downside is during summer months they run kid camps, there are large amounts of children in the pools/locker rooms/basketball areas which means you won't have much if any access to those areas. Take your hard earned $$ elsewhere, Lifetime Fitness won't respect your business.
This place is incredible!! The staff at the front desk, kids academy, and spa all greeted us with a smile. Chad is amazing, very knowledgeable and kind. He did a great job explaining all the perks, without being a pushy salesman. We're just getting started with our membership here, but I'm beyond excited. I did read a lot of bad reviews before stopping in and chose to check it out anyway. I'm glad I did. This is so much more than a gym. If you're looking for a way to start a healthier life style, you should definitely check this place out. We just met with Jason, the trainer as part of out intro. He was fantastic. His delivery was direct and helpful, I left motivated to live a healthier lifestyle! Love this place.

We have been members of LifeTime for years. The facilities are always well-kept, and the staff have been friendly and helpful. They also have LOTS of events for kids. They regularly update their equipment, and I never have a problem finding the workout items I need when I go. My only complaint would be the lack of indoor pool hours during the summer, and somewhat restrictive indoor hours during winter. But other than that, even their cafe food and offerings are top-notch.

Wow you guys jumped the shark with the new changes. You just slapped the weight trainers in the face by shoving all the weight machines in the corner. Not one person I talked to likes the changes. Should change your name from Lifetime Fitness to Alpha corp! Doesn't seen to be worth our $112 a month anymore!
We can't believe what they did with the new monkey bar contraption in the middle of the facility. We're not sure if it's the new playground for the kiddos or they have too many memberships and they needed something that would get half of us to find a new gym.
Want an area to do crunches or your ab workout? You can still squeeze a mat down against the mirrors while people are flipping 4 foot dump truck tires 2 feet from your head that shake the entire floor with every flip. Want to use the machines now? Be prepared to look directly into the eyes of the person across from you as you grunt and groan through your reps. Super creepy. The machines are now so cramped, my wife refuses to use them because every time she has, the guys are looking right up her crotch. To fix this, they'll probably just arbitrarily get rid of 1/3 of them, so be prepared to say goodbye to that machine you use every visit.
But hey, they put in 4 MORE squat racks too. I saw a guy doing a weird bench press under them last week. Wish I would have got a video for reddit.
Corporate - if you knew Gilbert Lifetime, you'd know that the free-weights are ALWAYS ALWAYS packed. You can never get a bench or the curling/barbell bar you need. It's always been so cramped in the free weights area, you're always having to navigate others elbows and dumbbells flying in your face.
But maybe some executive saw a poll somewhere that this was a good idear, opened a schematic from corporate HQ and said, "Yeah yeah, just move all this over here, get rid of that, put this here, yeah yeah, that will work! Mo money mo money mo! Come visit our monkey bars!!!"
Great gym! With multi purpose training, but they need clubs such as: swimming, basketball, and Racquet ball maybe?
Convenient location with great hours and lots of available equipment. Even during peak times there are plenty of open spots. We use the pool often with the kids, which is warmed. They also have an outdoor pool.
If you are seeking a multi-purpose facility for whatever your fitness needs, look no further! This gym has all kinds of great amenities for the entire family! I would highly recommend enrolling as soon as possible to get your dream body! The account manager named Noah was incredibly helpful with the entire process and he always gets back to me immediately with any questions! Ask for Noah!!!
Lifetime is like a resort lots to do. You can spend the whole day. Love this place. When you have children in child care the price is even economical.
I just signed up to the club a week ago. I love it so far. With my Lifetime Bucks that I accumulated with the sign up, I am utilizing 2 personal training sessions. I trained with Phyllis this morning and she is just amazing. She is very knowledgeable and also very kind. I hope to be able to afford more training sessions with Phyllis. I definitely recommend her. She's worth the money! One more thing - EVERY SINGLE staff member is so friendly. I have not run into a rude person yet. Jake is my account manager and he is THE BEST!! I look forward to many years at LT! :)
Life time is the best gym I've ever stepped in. I am kind of a gym snob and I have a feeling I will stay at this one for a long time. Very motivating gym! Has everything you need and much more!
I would have to give this gym 5 stars since it has everything I could ask for and more. Their staff provide top tier customer service almost too friendly since I'm not used to that treatment but they seem genuine on all levels. I rank a good gym by the vibe you feel when you're lifting and their is almost a "gym bro" feel where you can approach other lifters and ask for a spot without feeling awkward or shy. It's a lifetime gym with the family feel to it. I've been to other lifetime gyms that have a much "snootier"(sp) appeal and if that's what you seek I'd recommend LT-Tempe or a gym in Scottsdale. Even during peak hours this gym isn't overly crowded nor during the morning hours so you can always get a great workout in. The cost is higher but they have clean showers with soap/shampoo and free towels. I make a low income but gladly spend the extra dollar for this gym. I forgot to mention they have knowledgeable trainers who you can approach and ask for workout advice without the sales pitch vibe.
Lastly, they maintain their restrooms real well and are always clean!
Trainers are great and the gym is large, but the gym is always over packed. Kids club is overpriced for kids over the age of 6 or 7. It isn't designed for older kids, but the cost is the same. They used to let my 9/11 yr olds rock climb on their own but stopped allowing it if I wasn't present due to staff change.
