I've been to 4 gyms in Tacoma and Lakewood and this is the best bang for your buck. Plenty of space, never crowded, great locker room area, clean, good customer service and so much equipment. I paid 50 bucks a month at some places that had less. Great gym.

The best gym I've ever been to. I travel to a new state every three months for work, always need a new gym. They are super accommodating to that here. Offered a no obligation contract for close to twenty-five bucks a month. Can't beat it. They have a basketball court, classes, and tons of equipment. Two squat racks and one deadlift platform. I almost never have to wait for them. Staff have been super friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend and will be sad to have to move on soon.
I love the price and it has nearly everything I need to work out the way I like. More kettlebells would be nice. They have one that tops out at 45# and I would like double that at least.

I can't speak to the membership prices, but the gym as a whole is one of the better gyms I've been to. I work out regularly while at home and this gym was a pleasant surprise during my travels. The girl at the counter was very friendly and informative. All the equipment was in great shape and the gym offered everything I could have wanted. I highly recommend this gym for your daily gains.

It has good new equipment and the price is great. Cons: the pool saunas and hot tub are closed, no punching bags anymore. And the hours are pretty terrible for the weekend. Update: seems they like to keep the temp at 76° being cheap, it's 70° outside . The recommended temps should be 65-68. Probably going to have problems with bacteria or flesh eating disease if this keeps up.

I really like that this gym isn't an over-crowded bro fest. I've never had a problem accessing equipment at any time of the day. The group classes are fun and effective. I'm disappointed that the saunas and pool aren't open yet. I'm not a fan of empty promises and that seems to be all them opening those parts of the facility. I also would like to be able to access wifi since my cell network does not work inside the building. It's where I keep my workout records. It's a small inconvenience but annoying nonetheless. Otherwise, I'm happy with the cleanliness of the equipment and facility in general and the staff are friendly and helpful as much as they can be.

There a new manager Randy is very unprofessional and accusatory. His sales pitch is aggressive and unwarranted. Hes already turned off a couple of my friends. Its been open for over 6 months and the pool, hot tub and sauna does not work, but you'll pay for those amenities I'm a plan. Cancelled!

Love this place! Great place to work out. It has a bunch of cardio machines and free weights area. Basketball court. HydroMassage beds.. Gotta try the Fit Nation classes. They'll defy kick your butt but you will feel amazing.
Can't wait for yoga and zumba classes to get started. & I heard they'll have personal training soon too.
Nice facility, new equipment, maintained well, nice staff, poor management. The amenities that would make this gym stand above the rest are still not open. Its been over a year now. (Pool, Sauna, Hot Tub) Cell service is poor in the facility so they offer free wifi. The wifi however has very poor coverage throughout the facility.
Not too happy with their customer service. Staff are inconsistence with their policies. One says she is following policy while the others didn't in the past! I recommend that you make sure all your staff are all on the same page!

I love this gym, it will be a great value if the pool area ever opens ...which is why I switched gyms. It hasn't been open since it opened(6+ mths) and they can never give a time frame or explanation to the hold up ..which would be fair. But overall it has great equipment, giant space, has basketball court, hydro message. Hours are ok. just waiting on the pool
Overall I've liked going to Fit Republic. It's decently priced, has plenty of equipment, and the staff is friendly. When it gets busy I sometimes have to wait for a squat rack to free up but that's not a big deal. However, I can't help but feel ripped off as my plan includes the pool, sauna, and hot tub and yet none of them have been available/open for the 5 months I've been going here. They repeatedly told us it'd be ready "next week", or "soon". When I recently asked for a partial refund, or perhaps a free month or two, they told me they couldn't do it.
Overall the place isn't bad, but their handling of the pool/sauna/hot situation has left a sour taste in my mouth. If you're at all interested in using any of those, I wouldn't join until you know they're ready to use.
Yeah maybe the pool is closed. But for a weight training gym this place rocks. Tons of great equipment and the place is huge. Bathrooms are huge and clean. I work out at L A fitness and this place is way way better than any LA in Washington state....if I lived closer I would join this place in a heartbeat...
Great gym. It is brand new. All of the machines are new. Staff is very helpful, but the reason I gave them only four stars is they don't really teach you how to use the weight machines properly. One of the best things about this gym is their HydroMassage machines. My wife and I never leave after a workout without getting a massage. This is well worth giving a try.
It's new, the locker rooms are huge, not crowded, good location, fair pricing, nice staff

This Fit Republic location is Beautiful! 70,000 sq ft of Fitness Paradise! 2 pools, Jacuzzi, Sauna, Full Size Basketball Court, Group Personal Training, Hydro Massage Beds, HIIT Training Stations, Full Free Weight Area, Huge Selection of Cardio Equipment, and Plenty of Resistance Training Equipment. All equipment is brand new! Friendly accommodating staff! This place has it all!! And membership prices can't be beat! Go see what everyone in Tacoma is talking about you will not be disappointed!
