Edgeworks is a pretty nice climbing gym. There are plenty of walls and problems to work on. It would be nice if there were more bouldering, but the bouldering they have doesn't get that stale even going 2 to 3 times per week since they change routes frequently enough and there's a nice progression of problems. I can always find a fun project to work on. The atmosphere is generally really nice and laid back. Other climbers are generally super friendly and respectful, and when I go alone I usually end up climbing with someone else while I'm there and meeting someone new. The only exception is the climbing teams. They're there from like 4 to 6 every weekday and the kids can be pretty unfun to climb with. They run around, are really loud, rough house with each other near the walls, and hog routes. It's super hard to project while they're there because they will inevitably take over the section of wall I'm working at for 10 or 15 minutes, leave, and then a new group will swoop in and take over again a few minutes later. It makes for a rather aggressive environment and it feels to me that they think their time on the walls is more valuable than mine - unfun and a huge change in atmosphere from when the climbing teams aren't around. My only other complaints are that the gym lacks showers, a drinking fountain, and a campus board. Overall, it's a nice place to climb and I love being there. I'd honestly rather be climbing at seattle bouldering project, but I live in Tacoma and Edgeworks suits my needs pretty darn well.
