Good overall gym. Needs better ventilation in Toilet-Shower part of gym...very smelly. Front desk employees need to speak louder and explain things in more detail to new people. Too many customers sitting on equipment on their phone or not on the phone and not using the equipment. Too many critics and Judges even though there are signs. A few people are machine hogs pushing down on the weight One time every 3 minutes..then recovering..
First time visit was very comfortable. I thought I would be intimated because I have zero gym experience but I loved it. No crowd, did not feel like there was anyone "watching me".
I go here because it's $20 a month but the $42 every year kinda hurts, especially when most of the employees are just there for a job and don't Greet anyone. According to their rules, there shouldn't be anyone trying to bully or put others down but they have to watch out for this because I noticed it with 3 members now. Within 2 months. I almost put one in his place but I don't look for trouble. But just the fact I have to get annoyed while I'm trying to work out gives this 2 star rating.
The more active the employees the better the work ethics and gym environment. Anyways, I'm considering paying more for a better workout environment.
I am only keeping my membership until I don't need the tanning anymore. I can't work out here anymore because the 30-minute circuit area is a disaster. Contrary to the posted signs, it is NOT monitored by staff. It is impossible to use the area due to people who don't respect the process. I have complained probably 20 times and all I get is a blank stare from the staff and I'm told there is nothing they can do. The signs say "monitored by staff." In two years, I have NEVER seen this happen. It would take exactly 30 seconds of observation to see who is and isn't following the rules. Too bad. It's a great gym but the staff doesn't look out for those of us who want to use it correctly and as posted.
We love Planet Fitness. We can go anytime after work if we want. It is open 24/7 for anyone schedule. We have the Black Membership and it is the best deal for us. We get to use everything they have from the hydro water beds to the message chair.Plus they have tanning beds and more we can use..Also with our membership we can nring a guest everyday.
Love the price and all you get with it. As a black card member you can bring someone with you every time and it can be a different person or the same. You can get unlimited tanning, and use the hydro beds. They have a 30 minute express area that works your whole body and is easy to use and figure out.
I signed up for a membership when they first opened up and enjoyed the new equipment and clean gym environment. I think it is a very affordable gym and great for people new to working out. The gym just wasn't a good fit for me and I ended up signing up for a membership at another gym in town. I asked the front desk about canceling and they said that I couldn't cancel and I would just have to continue to make the payments until my year contract was complete. I asked about paying off in a lump sum what I owed to them for the next few months and they said I couldn't do that. They told me the best thing I could do was freeze my account for 3 months. I ended up doing that option because I thought maybe after a few months I would try it again. After the 3 month freeze was over I waited a couple months and then went in to cancel my account because I only had one more month left in my contract. They told me that I had the option to do a buy out on my account for $60. This was not mentioned to me before and I would have gladly taken this option but I'm not going to blame them for that because it was probably in my contract that I signed when I first signed up. They informed me that I had my annual free of $40 coming up and then my last monthly payment of $20. So my options were to buy out my account of $60 or pay the next couple fees that totaled $64ish (after tax). I ended up doing the buy out option and was charged the $60 that day and was told that was the last fee I would pay. The next day I got charge the $40 annual fee. I called the gym and talked to one of the employees and he said he saw the mistake and would have a manager call me back. When the manager called back she was very short with me and said there was nothing I could do about it. I tried to explain that if I would have been told that I was going to be charged the annual fee I wouldn't have done the buy out because that means I ended up paying $100 to cancel my account instead of just waiting until my contract ended and paying $64. She said the best thing she could do for me was give me a free month at the gym. I am not the type of person to complain or ask to speak to a manager but I felt like I was taken advantage of when they took $40 out of my account for the annual fee AFTER I bought out my account and then when I tried to talk to a manager about it she didn't even care. I left a message on the Planet Fitness website but once I submitted it I got a message saying anything financial needed to be directed to my gym location so that didn't get me anywhere.

I transferred my membership from Johnson City Tn. I love the staff. Jackie, Rene, Alec and other staff are great. What I like about PF is that it is clean and so friendly and having a club open 24 hours staffed is a huge plus. I highly recommend it. It is one of the best deals in town.

I will never recommend or go to the gym again. I went to cancel my membership and was told I owe over $200 before I could cancel. I was told both my cards I used for automatic payments were invalid (even though I use them everyday). They never contacted or sent me a bill to tell me my cards were invalid. After bringing in bank statements and telling them how unprofessional it was that I never got a bill or email all they kept telling me was to pay the fee. I went in twice and talked to the "managers" about it and they told me there was no one higher up I could speak to and I would have to pay it. In the end I still ended up having to pay $152 to cancel because I was never told my cards were "declined". I have never switched banks or cards and like I mentioned I use the cards everyday. Very annoying and frustrating.

Of all gyms I've been too, there is no pressure to join or buy things. The staff are always friendless and know me by site. I work out 3 days a week and use tanning beds (stand and lay), and massage beds and chairs. Like any gym there are times it gets crowded, but with the 30 min. Room you can be in and out quickly. There is a free trainer also if that is what you need. The only thing missing is a pool.

Really enjoy PF. So nice that they let me postpone my membership for the next 3 months due to my husband's craniotomy. Will redo it for another 3 months when this 3 months is up. I don't know of any other place that would allow that much and keep your membership.
I enjoy going there. The staff is always friendly and ready to answer your question. I also enjoy going to Boris ( presonal trainer) class. He is always motivating you. He also has a great sense of humor, and is always smiling. I would also like to say I could live on the massage table. They are wonderful. 7 min is not. long enough. Lol.
All new equipment as it's a new gym. Very inexpensive to join!!! It is always clean as staff is very diligent. WiFi is good during slow times. Not as many free weights as a muv but totally worth a membership!
Great pricing and customer service. Most times the parking lot is packed and there is no where to park. The tanning beds are nice, but I do wish they had towels to clean the beds instead of paper towels. Paper towels and spray don't properly disinfect the beds, and many other tanning salons have towels for this purpose. There are no free weights aside from dumbbells, and there is an abundance of treadmills. The stretching/warm-up area is pretty small and lacks certain equipment, but can be nice when not packed. Overall - decent gym for the price you pay.

This gym is a nice size and location. I am glad they opened on up on NorthWest Blvd. It is close to where I live. Their monthly gym prices are cheap and reasonable for what they provide. I enjoy the atmosphere of this gym. Staff members are helpful and knowledgeable. I would recommend coming here.

First day.. Someone great. Like the tanning and red light bed . massage bed was nice and I didnt have to wait for any equipment to use. My only thing is the customer service. I wasn't shown anything pretty much self serve .. I would expect more to a friendlier customer service . I do hair and customer service all day , so I would think if your just doing front counter you should be more friendlier!

Went there as a guest of my son and decided to join a gym for the first time in my life! There was no intimidation of any kind, mostly just ordinary people trying to get healthier. I tried a few things out and even used one of their tanning booths and hydromassage lounge chairs! I became a black card member so I get everything for free, plus I travel and have use of any facility throughout the world!!!
Parking at peak times (5P, M-F) is a nightmare. Have yet to understand why there are 10+ handicapped spots at a gym. How can you not walk 50 ft. yet go work out for 30+ minutes. The facilities are nice, machines have easy to follow directions on each one. Giant selection and cleanliness means there is no reason to NOT work out. Except maybe an inability to park.
Good gym, has all I need, but jees it is so busy! If you go during the day there is barely any parking outside because it's so packed. I've had to head home instead of working out before because there was simply no parking spots left. I usually just go at night now, there's barely anyone there past 11pm
They do not keep their facility clean! The tanning beds are gross! Make sure to wipe equipment down before use. With that said, it is a great deal for the price. I feel comfortable working out here, after I wipe everything down.
Awesome place to work out at! Im there everyday 5-6 days a week and the place is always very clean clean. They have all brand new weights and machines. Employees and other people at the gym are always friendly. For $10-$20 a month you're getting way more than what you're paying for!
I have had nothing but good experience at Planet Fitness. The price is amazing for the experience you receive...equipment, tanning, massage beds and chairs, training, friendly staff, and much more for $20/month!!! The training schedule is convenient with different classes and times that make it easy to work around busy schedules. The trainer, Boris, lays out a great program and is knowledgeable in his field. His workouts are challenging and his positive, energetic attitude keeps me coming back for more!

Great experience! So different than any other gym.
Massage tables and personal training schedules or sessions to suit anyone. And tanning!
I have really been enjoying their judgment- free zone these past couple of weeks. Way to go, Planet Fitness!
A great place to work out.. A full set of exercise/workout machines (both quality & quantity) plus a bonus thirty minute workout area with fifteen machines that target specific muscle groups.
My favorite area is the hydromassage - tanning area where I get a quick massage after I finish my workout.
I feel welcome here, every time I go exercise the Staff are always friendly. I just wish their monthly pizza day is also available at night I work swing shift and often come in late to the gym. Otherwise I Love this gym.
Haven't actually gotten to work out yet, but so far not impressed. ZERO parking at 6pm on a weekday. Had to park across the street at Safeway. Walk all the way over there to check in for the first time and do not get offered a tour, only asked if I have any questions. Make it into the locker room only to find out the lockers are "bring-your-own-lock" style (not mentioned in any of the sign up emails I got). The don't have any loaners to give out, but they will sell you a lock (fancy that!!!). I'm now changing clothes in my car to avoid paying for their scam lock. BOO!!!
I love this gym. Great price + great people. Staff is wonderful and friendly. The facility is always clean. There is a lot of equipment, so you usually don't have to wait. It is only $10 per month, so there are not many super specialized workout machines, or free weights, but you can get a great workout in, if that is what you want.
